Took our four grandchildren to Virginia Beach for a long weekend in January 2012. Had booked a 2 bedroom (didn't see any reference to the 2 bedrooms being lock-offs) and had requested an ocean view. Weather was not supposed to be great but we didn't care since there was a heated pool.
Checked in and the surprises started. Was told that they were having major electrical problems and the whole ocean view section of the resort had no power (even though we saw lights in the ocean view rooms) and gave us a street view room on the top floor. It was a little smaller than I had expected but it worked, kitchen is VERY small and no counter space.
Next surprise was that the indoor heated pool was in the section of the resort that was affected by the power problem and we would have to go 3 blocks away to use another resort's pool. Not exactly the handiest of situations but we made the best of the situation.
Would I go back to this resort? Maybe, it was RIGHT on the beach and the resort was probably one of the better beach front locations. It was clean but a little dated decor wish and the sofa had seen better days comfort wise. Not sure I'd spend a week there but for a few days would go back again.

Rented the Penthouse - 2 levels, sleeps 8, on the beach. Absolutely beautifully furnished and an amazing view.

This resort did not fail to impress me. It was clean and the room was well appointed for my needs during my stay. I would most definitely recommend it to family and friends

This is the perfect combination of resort and family accommodations. We had a two bedroom oceanfront in the corner unit. Very quiet. It was very comfortable and spacious. I am surprised that one of the reviews said the rooms feel old and outdated. We found it to be just the opposite.
The views were great! The beds were very comfortable. We were able to cook up a great Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen. Our grandchildren had a great time in the indoor pool (even the outdoor pool was warm and wonderful one of the days). The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the lighted palm trees and landscaping. The exercise room on the 17th was amazing.
The Christmas lights on the boardwalk is a must do! Very nice stay.
