We stayed at the Four Sails Resort forrthree nights in November. It was a very nice place, with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The unit was very clean and well-maintained, and the kitchen was stocked with all needed dishes, pans, and silverware. The off-season rate was quite reasonable, and the resort was conveniently located right on the boardwalk. The rate incudes free parking in the attached 2-story parking garage, and teh only thing that kept the rating from being a 5 out of 5 is that the parking spaces are very tight. Otherwise, it was wonderful!

2 balconies, 1 oceanfront,1 Atlantic Ave. Oceanfront is sunny in a.m. so Ave. side is wonderful for me. As an older visitor who likes to read and relax both balconies worked well for me. Stayed twice as guest and then bought timeshare. One stay as guest on second floor did not like due to lack of privacy from outside. The Four Sails is great, staff, housekeeping, amenities and awesome location. Yes garage space is tight but manageable. Elevators, never had a problem in 4 years, after all there are not that many rooms. . Cannot accommodate beach as legs don't like the walk anymore but bikes were welcome. Daughter & I thought of starting taxi service from boardwalk to water. Stayed in timeshare 3x with 2 active teens and we managed well. All amenities are as stated and fixing full meals and using computer were no problem. This is my place and will be for years. Highly recommended.

Had 2 nice nights at the Four Sails. Not a brand new property, but clean and I liked having a bedroom and a kitchen for a very good price. 2 large flat screen tvs, 2 balconies - the sofa could have been a little more comfortable but I have yet to stay in a time share that really offered a great sofa...The other reviewers were correct about the tight parking, we have a little ford focus and were a little nervous parking downstairs-plenty of bigger spaces on the top floor of the garage though-but even getting up there would be a tight squeeze for a large vehicle.

Beware if you are bothered by noise-32-33rd street seems to be the path that the jets fly through on the way to the naval base. Lots of loud jets all day long and into the night. I found that we got used it it really quickly and it didn't bother us at all but I can see how it would bother others. I actually thought it was cool to watch the fighter jets flying by.

Free bikes came in handy for a nice ride on the boardwalk. We would def. stay again and had a really lovely time in Va Beach, hadn't been there for about 10 years and hope to go back this winter some time.

Pros: Location on the beach on the boardwalk/oceanfront. Very reasonable price. Full kitchen saved money. DVD rentals available in the lobby. Free bikes. Very good view of the ocean from the balcony. Pleasant staff,clean room, efficient housekeeping. Large Jacuzzi tub fits two adults and two small kids. Restaurant on site. free sand toys. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

Cons: One elevator that broke down most of the day. We had to climb to the 9th floor!!!!! The power went out at 9pm and they don't have emergency lflashlights for the guests to use in the room. There was generator for the lobby and the hallways only. The pool looked dirty and it was tiny. Parking was painful. The spaces were really tight. We had a full size van and it was tight. I couldn't have done it. My husband parks buses in his work that's why he was able to park our van. Otherwise, I need to park in the rooftop where there are no poles.

Overall: A very nice experience. However, if we decide to go back in the summer, I would request a room in the lower floors just in case the elevator broke or if it's taking a long time to come. There's only one in the building and I can't imagine waiting for it with twenty other people in the summer! I will bring a flashlight ,too!
