We drove 8 hours on 1/1/2012 and were beat. Got to the hotel and checked in. The front desk clerk acted like she was doing us a favor by assiting us and answering questions like ..where do we park and where is a good place to eat ?.
We went to the restaurant next door and saw they had "early bird specials". We ordered the fish and chips and a side of clams on the half shell.The clams came out and they didn't look right..We looked closer and they weren't cleaned or shucked. I asked for the manager and instead of apologizing he proceeded to tell me that the "chef" only takes off the top shell oof the clamI If they do anything else it's extra. We said no thanks.. The "fish" was a soggy battered piece of something. They said it was tilapia..
We parked across the street in the parking garage. If we wanted the indoor pool it was also across the street..hmm lots of fun when you are wet and its 50 degrees and windy .
The last thing was the fan/a/c/unit. It started making a loud vibrating nise about 2am..and would hapen every 10 minutes or so and last about 30 seconds..It woke us up.
upon checkout I mentioned it to the desk clerk and asked if they can help with the rate for the issue..His answer just cracked me up..you should have reported it and we would have sent someone up..i said so i was supposed to call you in the middle of the night, so you can send soemone up to putz around the room and try to fix the unit ? ummmm.. we were trying to sleep and that kind of defeats the purpose. he said we'll we have to try and correct it.. still didn't receive any credit..DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT STAY THERE AND EAT AT THEIR RESTAURANT..we won't.
