Let me first start by saying that this was one of the most friendly and clean hotel I have ever been to. When I first checked in I was greeted by Latoya, she was very friendly and from there I knew that I had picked the right hotel for my fiancee, daughter, her friend and I to spend the weekend. When I walked into the room it was so clean and fresh smelling like housekeeping had just left from cleaning.The room was actually bigger then what I thought, and you can actually close off the living room from the kitchen to the bedroom which gave it a little more privacy. The view from the balcony onto the ocean was magnificent, we were right on time to see the sunset which made it even more enjoyable. We was able to watch the Surf n Santa parade from the bedroom balcony, it was the perfect view. After the parade we took a ride on the board walk to see the lights. The jacuzzi tub was a perfect size to stretch out and relax after a long day.Then only time I was upset is when it was time to checkout. Its not always the hotel that makes a nice weekend or vacation getaway its the friendly staff that makes it a perfect weekend or vacation getaway. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

First off, we checked in at the "lobby" area. ( hellooo we need to seriously think about renovating this area, 1978 called they want their front desk back!) but we were greeted by a smiley front desk girl. ( Kathy) We checked into a quaint dingy spacious outdated suite, BUT it was clean. Thats all that mattered. View and location you can not beat! No restaurant, no fitness center, no business center, no pool ( thats an oversized jacuzzi, not a pool), no dvd's, no enclosed corridors (windy as heck), and NO reward points for staying ( but we did take a picture and are now in the "album" and we get 10% off when we come back). All in all, if ur looking for the amenities of a Hilton, forget about it! But it served its purpose and everyone was super nice to me and my wife including Leah the hk supervisor. We will be back. The Dolphin is way better than decent but not wonderful exciting. Chuck and Alice.

We recently stayed at the Dolphin Inn while extending our stay in Virginia after seeing our son home from deployment with the US Navy. We walked the boardwalk not knowing where to stay for 2 added days and decided on the Dolphin Inn. It was wonderful. The staff was helpful in every way. We expected to be staying in a regular room and we were happily surprised when we entered our room and it was more of a suite. The rooms were clean and the view was spectacular. The pool area was breathtaking with the view of the ocean. I would stay at the Dolphin Inn again. My son came up and stayed for one night...living in Norfolk he will choose this hotel when he and his friends visit Virginia Beach. Great experience. Thank you Dolphin for making the extended stay worth it.

Hello, my wife,children and I decided to go to Virginia beach at the last moment, we found a great room at the dolphin Inn. The price for a ocean front room was a good deal, but the view and the room made it a great value. we had a room on the 3rd floor with a sliding glass door and a balcony with 2 chairs. My son and daughter ages 9-3 loved to watch the sunrise while eating breakfast. The room we stayed in had a small fridge and a sink + microwave. While not necessarily on a tight budget it is nice to occasionally enjoy quiet breakfast in the room instead of noisy eateries . There was plenty of room for the 4 of us and we had a great time.Overall i give it 2 thumbs up for price,location and amenities.
