Great views off season great value helpful front desk room was average but the view was superb...the breakfast was just terrible, they have waffle makers that just make soggy waffels

We stayed here one night. While the room was.clean and quiet it was obviously in need of a major updating.

We checked in at 8 PM and the desk was unattended. After waiting a short while we went to our room.
The hotel was filthy. The bathroom was very small and full of mold and mildew. So small I could not close the door while on the throne! We went down to change rooms and he said there was one on the fifth floor being renovated. Having paid a deposit we were concerned about losing it so we toughed it out.
Breakfast was cold. The hot water for tea and coffee was cool. The comment from the staff was , "It was hot at 6 AM".
The people were rude the waitress was drunk and they shut the light out on us and locked the door before we finished a light dinner at 8:30. The view from our room was a fence and trash.
The frosting on the cake was the noise from the jets doing manuvers that night at the local base!!!

My wife and I stayed in the oceanfront room with king size bed and balcony. We had a good time staying there. Perfect place, wonderful view from the balcony. The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. There were no microwave in the room, but it wasn’t a problem since they have several of them available on the first floor. The AC-heat unit needed to be fixed because it blew cold air only. It was a warm night so we didn’t need it anyway. After all, we enjoyed our stay and we definitely will be back if in Virginia Beach.
