Book through hotwire - We had a great time, from the time we arrived,quick check in, hot soft chocolate chip cookies at the front desk ummmmmmmmmm soooooooo good :-) free indoor parking, we parked inside and walked inside to our room, what a great location, we got into the room and we had the WOW look on our face, lovely room with desk and an ocean view to see for yourself we just loved it ,the bed was very comfortable waking up to a sunrise and opening the glass to the balcony and hearing the waves and seeing the dolphins swimm pass the room from above that was priceless and taking a postcard picture of the ocean, service was great ,our sink was not draining and the maintenance service took care of it within 15 mins thats what I call service the free breakfast was hot and tasteeeeeeeeee ummmm goood and more hot chocolate chip cookies the location is right in the middle of the boardwalk action, free internet, refrig,coffee machine and microwave, flat screen TV,indoor pool, fitness room and business center

I was very impressed by the hotel's location and all of the free amenities (parking, wifi, breakfast). It was warm and comfortable and the staff were very professional.

Booked this hotel through Priceline. Oceanfront - right on the boardwalk/beach. Complimentary breakfast, in-room wifi & garage parking. Flat panel TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave.

Like davli4 says, lots to watch out at sea - ships, boats + several dolphin sightings. There even were a bunch of crazy teenagers swimming in the ocean (briefly) in mid-January!

Can recommend Tautog's Restaurant for seafood - walking distance (~5 blocks).

My only complaint: clocks in electronic-swipe room keys expired before checkout time. This interfered with parking garage access & made loading the car for departure difficult. Front desk attempted to correct without success.

They know how to treat travelers! Room was clean, nicely decorated, and staff were friendly and helpful. What's not to love. Breakfast had cold and hot items, just enough. AND the boardwalk was outside the lobby East doors. Of course, some of the shops were closed for the season but there were plenty open to do a little shopping. We rented bikes off 7th and Broadway from a family store. Splurged and had dinner one night North of town at Lynhaven Fishouse. Reservations recommended but early in evening they accepted two jean clad grumbellies and graciously provided an oceanside window table for which we gladly provided a big fat tip and a 1/2 to our more than cool waitress. The only negative? the pool was cold. We put our suits on and waltzed downstairs to the pool room to which after dangling in a few toes, we turned around and went back upstairs. But we had so much to do since the weather was nice (low 60's). We did not even miss swimming this trip. Oh yeah, bring your binoculars. Lots of different ship to look at. Battleships, Container ships...lots of those. We left before the snow storm 1/13/12 but OH boy did we enjoy this hotel and area the week before!
Pleeeaaze do yourself a favor and get coupons from the little travel magazines you can pick up at the main highways and Va information centers.
