I had to stay here due to a friends birthday. It was a Sunday night and it was quiet, clean and the staff were really helpful. For £19 I can't really complain but the bed was terrible (Travelodge seem to have rubbish beds wherever they are!) and the TV had a broken remote and no signal. Other than that it was fine.

Where do you start. Noisy all night (ladies of the night!!!). Broken and noisy toilet. Useless shower. Broken bed sinks to the middle.

I have used this hotel twice now for 2 weeks in November due to working in the Havering borough area. The first week was not too bad, however the second week was not a pleasant experience & similar to those of other reviewers on Trip Advisor. I was allocated a room with a very peculiar smell similar to chemicals or it may have been cannabis! There was also an awful wet stain down the wall next to the bed. I complained and fortunately was given another room which was better but very cramped. The bed dipped in the middle which did nothing for my already weary back.

The worst bit of the stay was having to visit reception every evening when I returned from work to request basic items such as toilet roll, tea bags & even towels which had not been left in my room. I began to wonder if my room had even been cleaned, if it wasn't for the bed being made I would have concluded no one had been in my room.

The noise from the market place first thing in the morning is dreadful. Although the lodge is in the centre of Romford, beware if you are a lone woman staying here as it is located down a very lonely road which looks like a back alley. There were some peculiar characters down that road at night including some menacing chavs throwing a supermarket trolley at a lamppost...

This lodge wasn't cheap either costing £55 a night. I wouldn't stay there again. It was not a pleasant experience & I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

I would not stay here again

I stayed here a few times a a month. The rooms vary vasty in terms of smell, size, some had broken mirrors, broken furniture, and unclean bathrooms, others a lot better.very much luck of the draw. Convenient location, no car park, but street parking overnight with a short walk to hotel.
