We stayed at the Harefield Manor while attending a wedding there. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Romford train station and town centre.
We were checked in quickly, and despite being pretty early, we were able to access the room straight away.
Our room was in the annexe across the road, which appears to be converted flats. It was at the front of the building which meant it was on a main road. This was fine with us, but light sleepers might want to request a room at the back in case they are disturbed by traffic noise.
The room was very spacious and had a nice bay window. The only drawback was that there were no net curtains - which meant that you had to keep the curtains closed and the light on while dressing even when it was light outside. I did not want passers by getting an eyeful!
The romte control for the TV was handed to us when we checked in and we had to return it. Not sure why. The small TV only had terrestial channels.
The bathroom was decorated to a very high standard.
There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
The room was pretty good value for money, and was a great place to crash after a lovely day.
