I can only give this hotel the most moderate review.
The full English breakfast was disappointing. The toast arrived cold some 10 minutes before the main course. The tomato was barely cooked at all and the sausage seemed to be of the most dubious provenance.
The heating in my room broke down during my stay. To be fair, it was fixed fairly quickly but did not do much to inspire confidence. I asked for a discount as a result of this incident and was offered a paltry £5 at the end of my stay.
I appeared to be the only paying guest at the time of my visit. The hotel seemed to largely operate as a Council hostel of some sort.
On the positive side, the room was clean with a good flat screen television. The garden is also large and pleasant.
Nevertheless, I would not rush back.
