“Excellent budget hotel :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My partner and I have stayed here a few times and have just returned from a weekend break for my birthday. Once again, there are no complaints from us :) Every stay has been enjoyable and this one is no exception. Location-wise, the hotel is super easy to find being just off the motorway and there is ample parking. Check in was easy, staff extremely friendly and rooms are of a high standard. We also had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar and found the prices to be reasonable. For those wanting super cheap food and drinks, just take a walk across the Xscape car park to the Lloyds/Wetherspoons pub. Service here is quick, good prices and I've never had a bad meal.

This time we decided to try the £7.99 all-you-can-eat breakfast. It is the first time we've eaten a Premier breakfast after being put off by similar buffet style food in other hotels but the choice of food and drink was excellent, food was hot and everything was topped up regularly. Some may say paying £7.99 for a breakfast is a bit steep but we had a decent sized breakfast with a couple of drinks and were so full we didn't need to eat until the evening. You would probably spend the same amount on a big breakfast and drink or two in any pub or cafe so there were no complaints from us :)

Away from the hotel there is the Xscape snow slope which is also the home to a cinema, bowling alley, amusements and other leisure activities as well as numerous shops, pubs, bars and restaurants. For more shopping, the Junction 32 outlet village is next to Xscape and is worth a trip around. You'll find shops such as Next, M&S, Nike, Reebok, Monsoon, Mango, Game and many more. Go to the Sweet Emporium... EXCELLENT! "Like a kid in a candy shop" is definitely the most appropriate phrase to use when you walk through the doors. Also, there is a train station next to the hotel which takes you into Leeds in less than half an hour and costs £4 return for an adult - another option if you are staying for more than a day and want to shop or have a change of scenery!

All in all, a fantastic hotel for the price we paid. Book in advance and you can usually get a night for around £30 too! Well done Premier Inn :)

“Premier Inn Castleford M62, Jct 32 great hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Brilliant place, well situated and extremely efficient friendly and helpful staff.
I was really surprised by the quality of the hotel. The decor is very warm and inviting. The rooms, spacious, warm, clean and comfortable. Being near to the Xscape complex I expected it to be noisy and rowdy but it wasnt at all.
The full breakfast was absolutely fantastic and full value for money the staff in the restaurant were superb, no fuss just friendly efficiency, just what you want.
My partner did have a slip on the tiles near the lifts but htere was a 'slippery floor' sign, she was just unlucky that her heel caught a pool of recently melted snow and went down. One of the staff from the restaurant was absolutely brilliant she was very concerned for my partners feelings and it was absolutely genuine concern. My partner was very appreciative of her efforts to make her comfortable.
Overall it was a fantasticstay I would definitely recommend it to others. The company is well represented by the staff there and they should be proud of the service they give

“Surprisingly good”

I have not used Premier Inn before, but was pleased to find a room at short notice when the M62 became blocked.
Check in was quick and straightforward and the staff throughout the hotel were attentive and friendly. Room was large, clean and comfortable, with an easily contolled heating system, and I enjoyed an undisturbed sleep.
Only had the 'quick' breakfast (croissant/coffee etc.) but it was quite acceptable.
Large, free car park surrounds the hotel.
All in all, not at all bad.

“Premier at its Best”

We stayed at the Premier Inn Castleford for a family party nearby.
There is ample free parking with a security barrier.
The reception is spacious and ahs a nice bar and resturaunt area.
The rooms were a classic premier inn standard, spacious, clean, modern. Lovely beds and linen, nice bathroom etc all that you would expect from the chain.
The loaction of the hotel is great, just across the road you have a large complex for leisure activities in Xscape. Ski slopes, Fitness centres, bowling, games centre, indoor climbing are available and surrounded by a few bars and resturaunts ranging from family dining at Wetherspoons or Frankie & Bennys to indian buffets or steak house.
Next to Xscape you have the retail outlet of Jnc 32 which has a variety of shops and outlets from major top brands including a Monsoon outlet which I have never seen at any other outlet village.
You are only a couple of miles from Castleford centre and Pontefract and about 15miles from Leeds or Wakefield.
The cost of the room was only £45 which was great value and we had a spare bed so it could have slept 3 people comfortably.
Definitely a good night sleep.
