I stayed here for 6 nights for a conference at the Lorentz Center (at the university). We took a taxi to the hotel, which proved to be a good idea. The lady at the reception desk was very friendly. The rooms were very quite spacious, the furniture was modern and well looked after. We had dinner on the first evening which was not brilliant, but ok. The breakfast was buffet type with a lot of choices, this was very decent. The drinks at the bar were quite expensive in my opinion. I did bring some bottles of Belgian beer to share with the other participants of the conference. The hotel staff didn't mind us drinking it at the bar. They even gave us some glasses.

Overall I think the hotel was quite ok. The only sad thing is that it is not very close to the city centre, but since it was close to the university, this was a good choice after all.

After staying in Amsterdam, just thirty minutes away by train, at hotels almost triple the price, I wasn't expecting much from this small hotel.

Actually, it is really comfortable. The rooms are clean and of a comfortable size although my room had no bath. The minibar is small but inexpensive. The receptionists are friendly, and because they number quite few, it is possible to establish a rapport with them (although one's eyes nearly rolled out of her head when my friend asked for a vegetarian meal).

Breakfast costs about 10 euros and consists of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, breads, yoghurt and juices. The dinner menu is quite large and the food I chose was very tasty. There's a small bar in the foyer that serves very nice local draught.

I have no complaints at all about the hotel, and if I was travelling to Leiden again, I would definitely stay at this place.
