We absolutely adored this hotel, which was beautifully decorated and staffed by a very hospitable crew. What a nice place to end a long day of outdoor activities. A little expensive even by Swiss standards, but well worth it.

During summer/autumn 2008 the Raiffeisen Bank offered a series of special offers in association with the Canton Graubünden, which included 50% rebate at participating hotels. The Hotel Schweizerhaus Postli was listed on the Raiffeisen Bank's 'Graubünden zum halben Preis' website as a participating hotel.
Using the hotel's website, I booked one double room and one single room, quoting the reference numbers of the Raiffeisen program in the comments / special requests field for the hotel. I used the website printout option to make a hard copy of the reservation.
On arriving at the hotel on 10 October we presented the hard copy printouts and were told that they had no record of the booking for the double room. I pointed out that I had booked using their website, whereupon the receptionist told me that they were not responsible for the lost booking as it was carried out by another agency called Switzerland Travel Centre.
Furthermore, she told me that they were not participating in Raiffeisen/Canton Graubünden offer at weekends. Then she told me that if we did not accept the full-price booking of the single room we would at any rate be charged with the cost of the room.
During the whole conversation the receptionist was haughty, condescending and unhelpful. She made no attempt to offer a solution, and conveyed the impression that our entry into the hotel lobby was an imposition on her time.
Had she made an effort to help us we may well have stayed at the Hotel Schweizerhaus Postli at full price - I am not a pauper. However, her attitude and unhelpfulness made it clear that we were unwelcome. We stayed as welcome guests at another hotel.
