we visited the catalonia in the back end of august and i have to say what a strange hotel this is with the manager and his merry little band of tell tail spy's which seemed to be planted near the pools god forbid if one of his spys got splashed, within seconds the rather rude receptionist and manager would seem to think it was ok to shout at the children NO INFLATABLES AND NO SPLASHING!!!!! ie no fun!!! not that you'd want your dear little ones in the bottom pool which seemed to be full of fag ends (we counted 12 on one day) plastic forks and lumps of food floating and god no's what else the manager was informed but the pool was never cleaned.
right heres the good points, the food was brilliant juice and hot drinks with breakfast, evening meal was something to look forward to, salad, pastas, tons of meat dishes, ice cream and plenty of fruit, all credit to a fantastic chef which would explain the 15 min queue's before the dinner opened ( pick your small kids up or they'll trampled in the stampede)
The rooms were spacious and spotless, clean towels everyday, we even had a sea view.
would i visit the catalonia again probably not.
