Many other reviewers gave a bad report about Vila Hotel, but they were wrong! I reallized they were all just looking for a 5 star holiday on the cheap and so, of course they were disappointed. We knew we were getting a cheap holiday so didn't expect alot. But we were pleasantly surprised. The Hotel is an old family run establishment that has kept it's old fashion charm - that's what we wanted. It's small so that made it an intimate place where it was easy to meet and make new friends. The Hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful. The Handyman, Manolo, even took us on a tour of the hotel telling us of it's history and showing us the older parts that are maintained but not used due to the family not wanting to remove the fine craftsmanship to make way for new fire exits required for saftey. The food was simple but fresh. We appreciated the effort that was made to cater to the various cultural tastes of the guests. Located in the heart of the town it's minutes from shopping, the beach and a lovely park. The only bad thing about the place is some of the guests - many Brits insist on drinking themselves stupid and causing trouble as loud as they can and students can't stop themselves from being loud and lively. But if you want a quiet, out of the way place to relax, this Hotel works.

do not agree with what has been said about this hotel we stayed for a week room was nice and though balcony was small we could both sit out at night staff were helpfull and cheerfull food was good and plentifull but then again you have to have all meals to appreciate how good it was we will be going back again next year

This hotel seemed quite nice on arrival but after an hour delay to get there we did not arrive until 11pm and went to the bar for a drink only to be charged for it. The room was cleaned every day and we had clean towels but the view from the window (no balcony) was just the rooms over the front and side and the top of the bar area with all clothes and rubbish thrown out by other guests. There were a lot of french and german students who were very noisy shouting over to other rooms from their windows and keeping us awake. The bar closed at 10pm not 11pm as we were informed and on one occasion we were told in no uncertain terms at 11pm to go to bed and then the lights were turned off on us.The food was not that appetising either as same things every day,scrambled eggs at breakfast were more like mushy porridge and the bacon was not much better.Dinner and Lunch were the same meals so what was left from lunch was just served at dinner.No drinks allowed in the dining room only what you had to pay for in there and you had to leave the bottle there not take it out. The staff were frightened to smile or talk to a guest in case they were told off by the Maitre D.There was also road works going on outside the hotel with drills and kango machinery and the noise and dust was terrible. The pool was disgusting and a lot of the tiles were broken which is a health and safety problem and nobody used it at all. Only good point about this holiday was the friends we made who all had the same problems. Please do not book this hotel as you will be very disappointed.Will never go back to spain as long as i live thanks to this holiday!!!!.

Stayed only one night thank god,my grandparents were there for 10days and hated it.
Hopefully for us we were only visiting from Sitges,staff were very miserable,and hotel was very clean but basic.
Swimming pool was very small,no entertainment at all,drinks served in plastic cups which is fine if your a KID.
Only had breakfast so cant really comment on food but from what i heard was very bad,same thing nearly everyday,and i think its a disgrace how you stay in an all-inclusive hotel and you cant take drinks into dining room you have to buy a drink.
Our maid Mercedes was very pleasent and polite,rooms and decor really needs up dating and also pictures and info on web-site needs altering as picture can be made to look so nice.
