This hotel may be ok for teenagers that don't mind mess and noise,but is definetly not suitable for families or couples. The rooms are old fashioned, you have only one plug (!!!) and it's in the bathroom and when I got there I found my bed sheet and blanket dirty, had to complain about 2 or 3 times at the reception until I received what I asked for. Also, I heard a woman complaining at the reception that money were stolen from her room and this was not a single case. Hotel mostly with german teenagers that leave mess behind and throw things from the balcony. Food was ok..fish, salad,pastas... but also fries and macdonald type of chicken burgers for kids and at breakfast the typical one: ham, bacon, milk with cereals, marmalade, toast, etc Anyway, my final advice is to choose another hotel, this one is more suitable for teenager groups or school trips.

hotel garbi will try to rip you off in every way. The only thing i liked were the dinner ladies who work downstairs. The computers are very slow and always need rebooting. When my family and i went to the hotel a receptionist called karen played a trick on us. For a sea view room we had to pay 210€. So she showed us a normal room and it was horrible. And we hated that room so we payed for the sea view room. We stayed for 2 weeks and the cleaner changed the bedsheets 2 times in those 2 weeks. And the cleaner didnt even clean under the bed. The beds were felt likd the ones you get in prison. The manager and another receptionist were rude to us and we were humiliated. My family are a three. My wife,my child and me. We payed for a triple room but they gave us a double room with an extra bed added. See what I mean when I say hotel gar i tries to rip you off.

Awful. Avoid.

We stayed here for two nights when we recently went to Spain. We were part of a group of travelers and the hotel was chosen for us. I will never stay here again.

I have a variety of complaints about this hotel regarding service, accommodations, etc... We arrived in June when the sun sets after 9:30pm, but the pool closes at 7pm? What the heck is up with that? Why have a lovely pool right in the front of the hotel that closes hours before sunset? It doesn't make sense. That was our first disappointment. Next, we went to our rooms and encountered a dilapidated old elevator that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Our rooms were in the back of the hotel which has one elevator, unlike the front of the hotel which has two. The back elevator would get stuck on the 3rd floor over and over and we had to have people run up, send it down, and then we'd load our bags into the elevator to go back up. It was a long and frustrating process.

We finally made it to our rooms and they smelled of mildew. We checked out the small bathroom and noticed that they don't give any type of bar soap. We ended up having to go buy our own! Our rooms each had a balcony that looked out onto a white wall of the hotel front building. What a crappy view. When we went out onto our balcony, we noticed that the metal railing was dangerous loose and wobbly. In the room there was a distinct lack of electrical outlets, so we ended up unplugging the TV to use that outlet. We were very sad to find that the TV outlet didn't work either!

Oh, if you want a TV remove, you have to go downstairs and pay a deposit for it. If you want to use your safe, you have to go pay a deposit and pay a €4 / night fee.

The first evening we were there, a group of German young men (around age 18-20) were all completely drunk. They were yelling, singing, and harassing the young girls in my group. Later that night, they were seen to be urinating off the balcony. Lovely.

One of our rooms (we had a large group) needed more toilet paper. So, a couple of us went down to the front desk to ask for some. They didn't have any, but the nice night watchman went and stole some out of the bathroom in the cafe. Why don't they have toilet paper available?

I was so pleased to leave this hotel behind. I will never be back.

While travelling through Spain and France, we just stopped wherever we pleased, and Callela seemed like a nice place. We picked the hotel because of the location, which turned out to be perfect for accessing the local shops, restaurants, and of course the beach. Given it was a two star hotel, I really didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised. The room, although not large, was sufficient for the two of us, and had a nice little balcony overlooking the Mediterrean. The room was clean and exactly what you would expect. I would recommend anyone it for anyone on a budget. Anyone looking for a more "up-to-date" hotel should avoid it.
