Arrived at hotel half the coach got off here its quite big for a hotel has 8 floors i think our room was just a normal double room with toilet shower and bath and balconey over looking kids hotel park, hills and other hotel in distance.

English people here a very friendly with each as its mainly spainish that take there holidays here but they are friendly too. Staff are very helpful, quick and friendly. Food is nice got 2 islands with for when its busy good all round of food you would eat at home.

Calella is a local spainish town where they live and only has about 5 hotels its up and coming and is a great base to visit barcellona as its only 30mins on the train and train station is 10min walk. Me and my mom visited the spainish high street and it was sooo lovely to see. In the day time its very safe and spainish are friendly but if your going to go one of the 10 bars all 10mins fom hotel be careful as the spainish will come onto english girls a lot and for men they're funny with from the rowdy reputation the english have. We visited a bar to the right of the hotel which had a free 15min limo ride.

One of the days we visited barcellona bus tour a must we saw every thing and also visited barcellona footy groun. Lloret de mar is only 10mins on train and that is a nice town for families and 18-30s on the night.

Myself, my three children (3, 5 and 13) and my 3 friends and their children booked a week here end of May as a cheap holiday. We are all skint mature students so booked this hotel as it was a cheap all inclusive.
I read the reviews before hand and thought well i'm not too fussy, you get what you pay for, and to be honest, had i gone alone without the kids it would of been ok i suppose i wouldnt of complained.
When we got there they separated me and my friends along a large corridor and I was in a room alone with my 3 kids. I wasnt all that bothered at first. The room is very small, they stuck 4 beds next to each other so it looked like a queen bed so we all slept on top of each other. The bathroom was alright, but you dont get a kettle or anything and very minimal storage. we banged our ankles trying to move around the room all week around the beds. The balcony is not safe at all for young children. Myself and my 3 kids came down in the lift one day and all walked out quickly except for my 3 yr old son, the doors closed on him and he shot to the top floor, nightmare.
The pool attendant hated our children as soon as we went to it. 3 of the eldest children could swim and the pool attendant refused to believe they could and was constantly on their back even though they were well behaved. The younger children were assigned to a tiny baby pool even though we went in the pool a lot with them and they had armbands on, the kids were not impressed. The food was alright I thought for what you pay for but there is not snacks by the pool as I was lead to believe before hand. you can only get 1 drink per card aswell but the drinks were ok.
After the first day a mass of groups of single young lads and girls came from all over. There was about 4 family groups in a mass of what could only be described as an 18-30's holiday. Im only 30 myself so dont mind having a laugh but the geordy lads and german lads were put in rooms surrounding me and the kids and kept us up all night until 3 or 4o clock, and as any mother knows if young children dont sleep, and mum dont get sleep, you are stuck with cranky kids all day and i was fuming.
I was ringing reception every night to get them to sort the lads out and they would not move us to another room. This is NOT a family hotel.
The weather was terrible and we only had 3 days of sun in a week. We were stuck in the hotel reception as the season had not got going yet and nowhere child friendly (indoors) was open, The hotel entertainment staff offered all the groups of girls and lads loads of daft games to play and offered the children nothing. When I asked why they had nothing at all in a family hotel for our children to do they just shrugged at me.
I spent this whole holiday stressed completely and have booked a villa this year to prevent having such an awful holiday again.

We arrived on the 1st of October 2011'On arrival we thought OH MY GOD then it just got worse,we went to our room which was soooooo basic and outside a pile of rubbish thrown from the room above which just attracted pigeons from a far.
We then to eat in the bowels of the building it was like a school dinner hall, the food was cold and at times we were unable to decide what meat they were actually trying to feed us.
The evenings were worst you had to queue for at least twenty minutes to get a drink , no card no drink, the bar man had to be the most miserable man I have ever come across so rude and clearly needed to change his job, he would argue with people , you would think he was footing the bill himself.We did find a great little pub just down the road called the white horse , amazing value for money and we ate there everyday great staff friendly went above and beyond.
I can only say never again go at your peril

When I read some of the reviews on this hotel I was worried, but I was very pleasantly surprised! I stayed in August-September of this year and I could barely fault this hotel. Yes the rooms are in desperate need of redecorating and a little cramped and you can hear next doors' conversations, and the cards used for all inclusive guests sucks, but you have to remember it is a 3* hotel! The rooms were cleaned everyday and you could have new towels daily if you asked the maids, the general cleanliness of the hotel was brilliant. The pool area was always kept clean and safe, and there was always a lifeguard present. All the staff work really hard from morning to night and all were friendly and welcoming - especially the bar (and reception staff) who always had a chat and a joke around with me every time I went to the bar. The food was always edible and warm, if a bit samey, but so much better than what people were describing on other reviews. The hotel is located in a fantastic area, clubs, pubs, restaurants are all around the corner, not to mention the beautiful beach at the end of the street. Also, this hotel is not filled with young people and teenagers! There were all age groups around, and the young people (me included) all disappeared around 9pm into the clubs nearby. I had no noise complaints during my stay and I always had a great nights sleep. Hotel entertainment was also first class. This hotel is not half as bad as some people are making out - you can't please everyone, but this hotel definatley pleased me.
