“Cozy classic hotel”

We went in January after the holiday craziness and it was perfect- quiet but service was still very attentive. This is an enormous hotel and the decor is not everyone's taste- a bit dated but rustic and perfect for a seaside hotel The view are truly stunning- we had a sea view room and it was worth it. Good hotel for couples or families, but in the high season I can imagine it crawling with kids. Bring a bathing suit- the indoor hotel is inviting. And there's a ping pong table!

“Gorgeous views, decent hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Cadaqués is a gorgeous seaside town that is very well worth the effort to reach. We had limited time in northeastern Spain, so we could only stay one night. We would have loved to have stayed in the area much longer. We were grateful to be able to book just one night in this area, and Hotel Rocamar has tremendous views and is largest enough to accommodate short-term stays in popular Cadaqués. The rooms are a little shabby and basic, but the reason to stay here is the view. It's on the outskirts of town but within a pretty easy walk. The grounds are fun to explore. We did not use the pool or tennis courts or other similar amenities since we weren't there very long. Driving out to Cap de Creus is a MUST. We did that twice, rather than spending more time on the grounds. We highly recommend Cap de Creus and we hope to visit Cadaqués and this whole area again for a longer visit. We dined in the hotel restaurant and had a lovely meal. We booked a room with an extra bed (behind a closed door) to share with our 19-year-old niece so we could afford a room with a better view. It was ideal for one night might have been more problematic with a longer stay.

“Perfect location and outlook”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

Hotel Rocamar overlooks one of the most beautiful small towns in Spain: Cadaques, on the Mediterranean coast.
The view from the dining room is stunning. The view from our room was even better.
The facilities are all excellent - not only a good pool (also an indoor pool in the winter months) but excellent swimming in the sea, as well as tennis, table tennis, and others.
It's a short stroll into the heart of Cadaques, including Salvador Dali's home in the next cove. There are also good walks into the hilly and olive-groved hinterland and along the wilder section of the coast.
We found the staff very helpful and friendly.
We drove to the hotel - a tricky exercise through the narrow streets of Cadaques, but ultimately fine.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

“Not bad for 3 star hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

Stayed for 3 nights last week, October 2011. Luv my room (4th floor) which is facing the ocean.
Luv the breakfast room with its magnificent view. The only drawback is the bathroom (kind of smelly and I had to buy a lavender scented candle from close by mini market).
If you don't speak Spanish in Cadaques, you can communicate in French. Dolores is great.
The shuttle bus driver is very helpful (request in advance).

“Nice hotel for short stay in Cadaques.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We stayed here for two days en enjoyed the hotel. The hotel is pretty basic and maybe more two star then three star. We had one room with sea view if we opened it and look outside to the right. Good enough for a picture and close the curtains to keep the sun out.
The staff we met was very friendly and helpful!!
We had a pre arranged booking so dinner was included on the first night. The restaurant was very nice and the food was really good. We loved the Cadaques Anchovy. The view from the restaurant is stunning at night with all the city lights in the bay below and in the morning with breakfast you want get happy immediately from the same view by day. Breakfast is ok.
It is a short walk into town and we liked it to stroll at our leisure into town. Coming back after a big lunch or some wine the stairway up to the hotel is a bit hard. ;-)
