Location fab, so close to restaurants etc for the evening and close to beach but the whole complex is really run down and badly in need of refurbishment. Apartment good size but let down by shabby exterior. Several dogs in the apartments that are owned by locals, not great to see them doing their business by the pool and on the grassy areas. A few cockroaches, we managed to bung their entrance route into our apartment by the tea towel! Hardly any of the electrical sockets worked! Pool fabulous, meticulously cleaned everyday however areas around the pool were cordoned off by red/white tape which wasn't aesthically pleasing, neither was the floor around the pool area which was flaking/peeling in large areas and looked extremely grotty. Apartments were cleaned most days with clean towels. Most staff in the hotel were very helpful but not all!!! Such a shame that a complex in such a great location is not maintained, loads of concrete areas badly need repairing and could be quite danagerous under foot. Local beach nice but the best beach is the dunes beach (transport provided by hotel for 900 cents each), we spent most of our days there. Waterpark, Bakuk, total rip off, once you're in you have to pay for everything, locker, sunbed, rings for the waterslides - not recommended. Wouldn't stay here again unless it underwent total refurbishment.

  • Liked — The swimming pool - very clean
  • Disliked — The fact that the whole complex is so run down and desperately needs some tlc

“Bad experience”

We arrived late afternoon and was immediately disapointed.
the first room we were given was on the main street. the door was chipped to pieces, inside even in a worse state. Asked to be moved and eventually given another room slightly better on the top floor. As it was getting late we decided to stay one night and look for other accomadation next day. Sink falling off the wall, ants, windows one could not open and no lighting outside.

Unfortunately as we were looking for other accomadation next day we were burgled so say no more. HAD TO GET AWAY ASAP.
No help from hotel receptionist. Anway we booked out and found another complex Dunas Caleta nearby where the staff were more than helpful and also a lovely complex.

All in all never ever saw such a run down complex.

  • Liked — Near beach and town

June 2007
I have been to Fuerteventura several times I love Correlejo and stayed in different apatments there. A friend said she would like to come with me so we looked around at various accommodation and decided to try this one.Knowing correlejo well I knew this was a good area to be in as its a lovely walk down to the square at night. Was a bit worried as the reviews were not that good but we just wanted somewhere close to the nightlife for a bit of a low budget girlie holiday! (even though we are both in our forties!)When we arrived we had no problems, parked the car right outside, checked in and found the apartment no problem! The apartment had everything we needed plus a lovely pool view .The pool was cleaned daily and was very quiet. The only down side was that we had to walk round to the pool but we were not far from the beach and went there a few times, there was a gate to the pool right next to our apartment but it was only opened on the last day. Towels were changed regularly and the apartment cleaned every other day. The supermarket was handy right across the road!! We were positioned right next to the main road but did not fine it noisy. We found these apartments exellent value for money (ive stayed in worse!)and will definitely be booking to go here again.Saw only one cockroach, down by the harbour!!!

“Warning- Do not stay here!!”

Well my partner and I managed to last about an hour in these apartments...simply because it was crawling with cockroaches!!

The accomodation is very ran down, and we requested to be relocated to another hotel straight away; but found the reception staff less than helpful. Furthermore after getting in contact with our Rep he advised that he would be withdrawing the apartments from their accomodation list for anyone wanting to book a stay through the company he represented.

However, it didn't ruin our holiday, after a bad 24 hrs, we found a beautiful hotel and thought the resort was lovely! The rest of the week was great!!

My daughter and I went for a stress -busting week in Correlejo and stayed on a self catering basis in the Atlantis Los Boqueros apartments. The apartments are a bit run down and in need of some refurbishing, but the apartment was cleaned and towels changed six days out of seven. The sheets were changed in the middle of the week which was a pleasant surprise. The cleaners were very cheerful and obliging. The front door lock was a bit dodgy so we wedged a chair under it at night as we were on the main road and access would have been too easy for anyone to break in. The electrician came within hours to fix the hot water but we waited 2 days to get cups for our tea! The pool area was lovely, lots of palm trees for shade. The week we were there we only saw six other people so space and sunbeds were not a problem! We had a top floor apartment and to get to the pool we had to walk down the stairs and right round the building to the main entrance around the corner in the next road. There is no reception area although all the blurb about this place states that there is. We had to register and book in across the road at Atlantis Duna Park, but the staff were helpful and the reception is open 24 hours. Our only worry was that we had to leave our passports with reception staff for 24 hours and assumed they would be locked in a safe, but when we collected them they were just in a pigeon hole behind the desk. The town itself is fun, a real holiday feeling, spoilt only by dog mess in the streets and too many people touting for business outside restaurants and bars. My husband and I live here for years so I just told them I was local and after that we got left alone! Lots of entertainment if you like music music and more music, but there are some lovely quiet spanish bars in the back streets. The tapas bar in Calle Crucero, opposite the ambulance station, is the best one to visit. Great menu, great prices. My husband and I are going to Correlejo again in September and are planning to move back there. It is so worth a visit, so do try it and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
