Literally just back from a week in Fuerteventura, staying in these apartments. There were 5 of us altogether, between 2 apartments. The apartments themselves were basic enough, no grill or oven, just a two ring hob. Enough cutlery and crockery for three of us. No tea towel, no brush to wash anything with so we had to buy a sponge. The maid came in 5 times during the week, cleaned the floor, got rid of the rubbish, made the beds, and cleaned the bathroom. Supermarket is right beside the complex which was handy. Mosquitos were a problem, we were bitten alive over a couple of nights which was seriously unpleasant, and meant we couldn't sleep properly. Also there was no air-conditioning. Which during the first couple of nights was a serious problem. The floor in the kitchen/sitting area was in bits, tiles were badly chipped. Overall result was that it was all a bit run down looking.
The pool was pretty cold as other reviews have mentioned. And salty, we couldn't work out whether it was seawater or what, it was certainly as cold as seawater. Still once you were in it was nice enough. We did have to get up early enough, say around 9am, to throw our towels on the loungers (although there was a sign saying that loungers weren't to be reserved like that which everyone ignored).
There was a restaurant in the Brisamar but the food was pretty non-descript, we only ate there once. There was a bar near the pool which I think catered to people who were there all inclusive. We just got a few drinks from it over the week. They could do with using that area for a proper lunch, it would be nice to be able to eat overlooking the pool area.
Corralejo itself was a bit depressing, nothing much going on. We were lucky with the weather, it was stunning every day except Friday which was very dull and considering we couldn't sunbathe we walked around the town a bit but it wasn't very inspiring. One place I have to recommend for a great time, and a bit of decent music (i.e. not kareoke bars etc.) is Rock Island which is just off the main street up the road from Mango. They have regular live music sessions which were brilliant. Also there was a cocktail bar place down past Music Square that was really relaxing which we loved - also a restaurant called Los Pepes I think, and a restaurant across from Los Pepes, the name of which I can't remember - you have to book in both, they are very popular, but popular for a good reason.
One last word - the activities around the swimming pool area. There are pool games arranged regularly during the day for both children and adults - especially singing and dancing. Most of the people staying in the Brisamar for the week we were there were German or at least spoke german. Not being German, you do feel a bit out of place. Obviously we could have got involved but it wasn't the sort of thing we'd have been into.
In conclusion - nice enough apartments if a bit tatty; race to get loungers in the morning was a pain; resort itself not great; probably wouldn't go back myself, but if you're just there to sit, sunbathe and read your book, you could do worse.
