We - a Norwegian family consisting of mother, father, 2 daughters, son in law & grandson - spent the last of September 2011 at week at Estrella de Mar & Spa, and had a very pleasant 'all inclusive' vacation:
- pleasant staff (including 3 Norwegian speaking receptionists)
- large twin rooms (with a layout that enabled each room to be used independently)
- large balcony
- beautiful & lush palm fringed pool area
- nice outdoor dining area (we had all meals here)
- great location (only a few minutes from a shallow & protected part of the Alcudia beach - excellent for smaller children)
- great indoor spa facilites (jacuzzi, cold pool, massage showers, steam bath, etc)
Some recommendations however:
- extend the use of signs on the buffet, informing the guests what is being served on each dish
- stop charging for in-room safe box & for the Internet access. It cannot represent that significant amount of money, and it must be better to part of an even better service perception......

I was a little uncertain if I should include the following in my review at all:
the only bad experience I personally had was when I returned rented bikes at the sister hotel across the street. Maybe the receptionist was annoyed since we had to push the garage door opener multiple times to get it opened, or it was me wearing a bandana on my head and no t-shirt. Anyway, this receptionists (Christian) had - in contrast to the other staff - such a patronizing attitude that put me totally off..... I informed him of my perception, and he expressed is excuse - while clearly demonstrating that he was not sorry.
