the apartment was very clean with towel changes everyday, the kitchen area was very basic only two rings ,fridge and sink. kettels and toasters were available for hire at 10 euro with a 5 euro deposit each. the pool area is small but sun beds are always available.there were mainly german holiday makers there and that was fine. the entertainment was poor. the hotel itself was on a side street, but dont be put off as your close to everything, beach, supermarkets, resturants etc.there are two computers in the foyer with internet acess one euro for 15mins two euro for 30mins. if you go outside the internet cafe is one euro for 30 mins,if you got teenagers with you that makes a difference. yummy yummy english bar about 2min walk away has good food and entertainment. cheers bar is across the road, entertainment good, but really expensive to drink in there..alcudia is lovely but the transfer is a nightmare, our flight home was 11.20 in the morning, we were picked up at 06.30 and driven all through villages in the pollensa area pcking people up. never again. thats the only down side to that area in majorca. a taxi will take you direct to the airport at a cost of 70 euro,in my opion it would be money well spent if you want to visit that side of the island.the beach is also lovely and very safe for children, 10 euro for 2 beds and umberella.had a good time myself and my 15 year old daughter. next time we will be back to the other side of the island.

Very basic holiday apartment with kitchenette. Quite run down. Kitchen had very little equipment, and of a very cheap type. Balcony very narrow, so it was not possible to have a table and eat outside. Internet was € 20 for a week.

Asked for and got room with poolview rather than streetview. Pool Nice and clean. Ample free parking just outside the door. Staff very friendly.

After reading the reviews on the internet i was very concerned about my stay at El Lago - Magic Hotels. However on arrival i was very pleasantly surprised.

The positives
Staff very friendly and helpful
Hotel very close to amenities and literally 5 minute walk from the beach and looks over a pleasant lake. With happy hour between 4-5 pm with buy one get one free on drinks.
Hotel room was adequate for young couple, with double bedroom and kitchen/ diner/ sitting room with TV, Kitchenette comes with fridge, hobs and cutlery and air con included with no extra cost .
Pool was very clean a little on the small side however still had plenty of room with around 50 sun loungers surrounding.
Alcudia its self is in a great location with miles and miles of sunny clean stunning scenery and beaches.

The Negatives
The hotel had no real entertainment of nightlife to speak of.
Had to pay extra for a kettle or toaster which is 10 euros a week.
Tv was mainly Spanish with only children’s CBBC, BBC 1 until 5 pm when it would shut off and sky news.
The main drawback I would say of the apartment is that for British tourists it was a mainly Spanish and German hotel, with all but one other couple being not from Brittan which wasn’t a negative as such however if you had young kids or teenagers they would not be able to make friends as in a typically English hotel.

Overall we had an amazing holiday and enjoyed our stay very much as El Lago hotel, I would suggest definitely asking for pool view or staying in the sister apartment Don Juan which has a view of the lake and the pool with some sun loungers on the balconies! Alcudia is packed with things to do and would definitely recommend and come back in the future we loved Mallorca and found everyone to be very helpful and friendly. Eating out can be rather expensive for the quality of food so therefore if your coming as a family I suggest either staying all inclusive or making lunches and breakfasts in the morning. Get a car out and drive around the northern coast Coves De Arta are amazing! Found plenty of beautiful beaches and places to pull over and get beautiful shots.

The Formentor boat trip is very worthwhile, the formentor beach is rather expensive and you only sit for around 35-45 minutes at the beach anyway so bring your own food but the boat trip its self allows you to see the wildlife, beautiful coves and picturesque views of the mallorican coast. ( Bring goggles or snorkel and you get a chance to swim with the fish!)

...LOVED this appartment! ...very spacious...alot of Dutch/ Swedish guests...which wasnt a bad thing:)...mostly respectful and quiet...this hotel didnt offer alot of night enternainment... in some ways we were definatley glad 4...as i heard from my family who were staying in other complexes it was difficult 2 sleep at night due 2 loud music played at their pool area on their complex....but it all depends what u come on holiday for;)...we were very central...2 restuarants, bars and shops..so that wasnt a problem..and the beach was only 5 mins walk...very nice beach!...loved this place ...Alcudia is very nice area ...not in your face...enough 2 keep u entertained...but it isnt magalluf;))...
