Stayed in a 2 bed aprtment here for a week from 10th September.
I would say these apartments would suit those who are not particularly bothered about staying in pristine modern apartments as at the end of the day most of the time will be spent out and about by the pool or elsewhere. The apartment we had (first floor facing the road) was dated, a bit dingy and in need of a lick of paint however it was reasonably clean and did the job for us. If you are planning on lying in past 10am on anyday dont count on it if your apartment faces the road as the music and PA from the complex across the road is so loud you'll be singing along in no time. I suspect if your apartment faces into the complex and pool this wouldnt be a problem.
The pool in the centre of the apartment was very nice, clean and well situated next to the bar and restaurant. The bar staff were nice, friendly and always willing to help (I think they lease the bar from the owner) and we seeked resort advice from them. The food served out of the restaurant was good value and tasty.
However the lady that runs the place was generally quite rude and unhelpful (I realise this contradicts other reviews). Not sure if this was due to being understaffed but I dont see this as an excuse. When asked for advice regarding places to visit etc it was like getting blood out of a stone, she really made you feel like you were putting her out. Bazaar for someone who would surely like repeat business. Her rudeness wasnt a one off but for 80% of the week.
If the apartments had a lick of paint and the owner changed I would recommend. If you are not booking last minute I reckon you could get better accommodation for your money elsewhere.
Loved Alcudia as a resort and the beaches were gorgeous.
