“A nice family hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This is a good hotel and has lots of facilities ie Spa; lots of pools including an indoor and Adult only pool. Our room was very nice and had even got a one bedroom garden room rather than a Studio which we had booked. The only slight problem was that there was a musty smell but after a day so we got used to it. My biggest critism of the hotel is the pools; the lack of space around them and the number of beds. The family pool is also very noisy as it was august so there was lots of Families and entertainment going on. Also the amount of noise around the adult "relax" pool as it was siutated next to the childrens play area & water slide pool and in front of the Tennis/Basket ball/Volley ball/ Football court! So not much relaxtion - if you dont have children travelling with you and you are looking for a bit of relaxtion and chill out I would reccomend that you stay at their sister hotel the Viva Vanity Golf - this is also a lovely hotel. The staff and service is very good at the hotel but they could do with better system for monitoring the pools as there is not one at all and other people use the hotel pools that are not even staying at the hotel. We could not get a bed at all around the main pool and the Adult pool has limited beds so it is also difficult. The beds at the adult relax pool are very comfy and some are always in the shade but as I say other people use them. We were lucky in the fact that we had a garden room so we could sunbath at our apartment which also had lovely comfortable cushined beds. Overall though this is a very nice hotel. We did not eat at the hotel but as we walked passed the bar area the food did look very good and resonably priced.

Room Tip: We had a garden room which was lovely and in a great loocation close to teh adult pool and away from...

“REALLY NICE COMPLEX”

this review is very late, but i went here about nearly 2 years ago in 2010..not 2011..could not put correct date in box.. and took my 3 daughters with me..went in february but weather was ok..pool very cold..complex was very tidy and inside the main entrance was really nice, leather couches and marble tables etc..indoor heated pool and gymnasium which was great for working a sweat off..just watching the girls have a go was hilarious..area was pretty quiet at that time of year as expected but it was a break,i have been to alcudia many years ago so knew what to expect..dont think i would go back unless it was in main season and busy, just for the buzz of it..

Room Tip: pool view which most should be..

Went to the Viva Tropic hotel in october for a week,Fab! I would love to stay here again. The Staff and everyone in the hotel were very friendley and could suit your every need. The rooms were Excellent! Bathroom with a power shower , Double pull out bed ,flat screen tele also had catering facilities like coffee machine, fridge, kettle ect.Even though it was the 'End Of Season' we still had a good time. The pools were amazing especially the over 18's with the kingsize beds to chill and relax. They also had a big Pirate ship for the little ones.If you go self catering there is a Eroski supermarket just a few minutes down the road.We were 5 minutes walk from the beach,Bars and restaraunts.Just round the corner from the hotel was a bar called 'The Brunell Inn' run by John&Em.They made you feel very welcome and the food was fab! The Bar is open till late, would recommend!

“Good Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

Just returned yesterday - Thursday 27th Oct - it was the 'end of season' but 2 children 2 adults enjoyed good service - good selection of food although I was amazed that we got battered onion rings at breakfast - the 6 year old thought this was brilliant!!!!!
Staff extremely friendly. It would have been good if the pools were a little warmer but overall we enjoyed the holiday and would return. We chose to put the kids in the bedroom and sleep in the lounge - we did this so we could enjoy a drink and TV while the kids slept. The couch beds could have been more comfortable.

Room Tip: We were facing the front of the hotel but it is a side road and was nice and quite
