Arrived on october 23rd a bit tired, and was greeted by the manager, who offered us, off his own back, an upgrade from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment with pool view, very pleasant to get a boost as soon as we arrived.
All unpacked took a look around apartment which was very clean, neat, and tidy.
all cooking equiptment that we required were there and yes there is no oven but who the hell needs to make a roast in their room on holiday!!! we had two hob rings, that more than sufficed.
I asked manager for safety- deposit box key, I was given one with no charge unlike all hotels I,ve been to before.
The bathroom was very clean, well stocked with towels, loo roll, Water was hot at all times, no mould around tiles, no bad electrics or plumbing,nothing to complain about there then.
kitchen diner and bedrooms had air-con that worked perfectly, beds were comfortable pillows plump, never had a bad nights sleep in the week we were there.
view was very good from our apartment, overlooked pool from our top floor balcony, with the bay of alcudia in backround and beyond that the mountains, a few villas in the fore ground would ideally be knocked down to compleat the view, (not really).
Just outside hotel reception was a bus stop that took us into puerto alcudia for €2.50 for the two of us, leaving at 7.45 am then every hour after uptill 12.45, then siesta time until return trips from 2.05 thru to 7.05 at night, if we needed to go anywhere else at any other time we got a taxi. usually €5 from port to aucanada. what ever we chose it was cheaper than in england.
Back at the hotel, the food in the restaurant was excellent, from the full english breakfast, to the pizzas,pastas, steaks, etc, all using fresh ingredients, and the barbeque is to die for, delicious, mallorcan sausages, fish,steak, chicken or pork kebabs, with baked potato and salad.for a tenner, best value for money meal i had all holiday.and real quality.
the waiters and waitress always were attentive, always had a smile for you and some pleasant chat too. I did not hear any customer or hotel guest complain all holiday about any part of this holiday, so if there are bad reviews, take it from me, they are lying.or just twofaced, or just hard to please and fickle.
The beach directly infront of hotel is just rocky coastline but about 100yards aways is the beach infront of the hotel president, very nice but can get crowdwed especialy at weekends when locals go to beach, but peurto alcudia has a massive beach where you can always get a spot.
I selected this hotel for a cheap last minute getaway, I can honestly say, I had one of the best valued holidays, good hotel, good food, good company,and I,ve come back revitalised, and thats what holidays are all about for me and my wife, so good I will be rebooking.

We have just come back from Aucanada and would like to report that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If you want a quiet location and don't want to pay the earth, this is a gem! The apartments/rooms are simply furnished, but very clean and the kitchen area is very functional. We did not stay in one of the "nicer" apartments (i.e. with a stupendous view), because we made a late reservation and the place was full when we arrived. But, as we say, it was adequate. Our apartment was cleaned every other day and the towels were changed every other day too. The manager was very helpful and friendly.

The snack bar/restaurant offered nice and reasonably priced food and the staff were cheerful and friendly.

The location of this property is marvellous if you want a quiet break to disconnect from everyday life... It is situtated about 2 miles from Puerto Alcudia, away from the "hustle and bustle"... No late night drunks or partying teenagers - BLISS!!!

Just returned from an all too short visit. We had spacious Apt. 204, with a balcony overlooking the sea, the park, and with views of the distant Arta Mts. Breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening on the balcony were a pleasure. The bedroom was small and dark, but adequate, and there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The kitchen was well equipped for two, and the furnishings were comfortable shabby chique. For some the limited number of English speaking TV channels may be a problem, and we felt that, upon our very early morning departure (5.30am), some lights should have been left on in reception. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant very good value (especially the barbecue evening on Thursday, when culinary miracles were wrought!) A lovely area in which to stay. A car is very useful, but there was a regular bus into town (except during siesta!) and the walk into Port Alcudia (c. 30 mins.) not too onerous.

Just returned from a brilliant week at Aucanada Apartments near Alcudia. We were pleasantly surprised having read other reviews but they couldn't be more wrong.

The one bed apartment overlooked the sea, as requested, with a lovely balcony. The lounge/kitchen was spaceous, the bedroom adequate with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Although there was no air conditioning there were two large fans. The pool was great. The apartment was cleaned and had the towels changed every other day.

It was lovely and quiet. The restaurant on the ground floor served good food and the staff were friendly. There is a "Michelin Recommended" restaurant over the road with an excellent 28 euro 3 course meal but avoid the buffet at the Hotel President.

Its definitely too far to walk into Port Alcudia to eat but we caught the 7.15pm bus in and a taxi back at 5 euro. Well worth it, especially on market days.

A very good value for money holiday.
