We were very much looking forward to this holiday after a hectic year and paid more than we usually would as it was my partners mums 50th birthday. Upon arrival we were quite disappointed, my daughter had just had surgery 2 weeks before having a rod put in her leg and we were told that there was no cot in the room until the morning, so she had to sleep on a sofa cushion on the floor. The patio door didn't open. Although within half an hour of letting them know about the door the maintenance guys were there to fix it. The room is very basic, not enough plug sockets and if you want air-conditioning you have to pay extra which I think is disgusting on how much we paid.

Good points are the location is pretty central to everything really, close to the beach, bars, restaurants and shops. This hotel could be great with a little updating.

we returned from our holiday to alcudia on the 1st of october and my daughter kept saying her belly was hurting, when we got home she become very ill rapidly so took her to the hospital as she was on the toilet every 20 mins and couldnt even eat a slice of toast. after all the tests the consultant said it could only be the water in the swimming pool where she has contracted the stomach bug from, but i must say alcudia beach is beautiful but wouldnt recommend staying in alcudia. michelle

Just returned from a 7 day stay at the sol de alcudia apartments staying in a pool view 1 bedroomed apartment. The room was basic but spotless, and had a t.v, kitchenette, bathroom and balcony. The staff here are very friendly and always cleaning.
We took advantage of the all inclusive offer which was a full english breakfast anytime after 9.30am plus all drinks until 11.30pm (teas, coffees, soft drinks, local lager, local spirits & icecreams) we paid for this for all 7 days and it was 12euros per adult per day. WELL WORTH IT! There wasn't the option to pay for one day, it had to either be every day or the last 3 days of the holiday and all of your party has to pay for it. There was the option of just drinks for 10euros per day/ 5euros for children.
The pool is cleaned every day and although there is plenty of sunbeds, there isn't that much room to put them. The other problem was that there is no air-con & it was very hot even at the end of Sept, you could hire a fan for 20euros a week. We hired a safe which was 20euros a week & 5euros deposit.
We didn't use our kitchen for making meals but there seemed to be enough cuttlery, pots & pans if you wanted to. Also a microwave, toaster and 2 ring hob. There is a big balcony with chairs and table & the bathroom is a fair size with shower over bath which was very powerful and hot. Towels were changed twice during our stay & there was a washing line on the balcony to hang them out.
Entertainment at the apartments was OK. Kids disco, bingo and then a show of some sort, reptile show, magic, parrots etc.
We ate out a lot at Funny Bunny's - Paco's Bar, which is just over the road from the apartments next to The White Rose. Lovely home cooked food & reasonable prices with very friendly staff.
The beach is a 5-10 minute stroll away and is very clean.
We did the open top tour bus which lasted aprox 1 hour 20 mins and went all around Alcudia for 17euros per adult picking you up and dropping you back off at the apartments, Reception booked this for us.
We left to return home at 4.30pm and we were provided with a key to a room to leave our cases when we had to check out at 12 noon. Our own room could be kept on for 32euros but we didn't bother with this for just 4.5 hours. Worth it if you leave later or have children with you.
If i was to return to Alcudia i would stay at sol de alcudia apartments again.

Just got back brilliant hols second time around can't fault the place give it a try u won't b disappointed
