“Cheap & Cheerful - you get what you pay for.”

Firstly, We arrived at the hotel very late. DO NOT use IslandHoppa - it took 4 hours!!! I'll try to be honest and far here. We had a room booked for 3 adults - a one bed apartment. It is no good for 3 adults - there is a room with two single beds and they expect the other adult to sleep on the sofa with extra cushions in the lounge. We weren't happy and explained this to the receptionist, who completely understood, and gave us a bigger room at the cost of 110EUROS for the week. Happier with the bigger room but apparently they only had one of this size on every floor (4 floors) so we were VERY lucky. Cost of hiring the safe in the room is 18EUROS for the week - you will need this. Rooms are cleaned every other day but sheets aren't changed, neither are towels unless you ask - they fold them up and make them look nice but we knew the truth... The pool is amazing, makes up for everything!! A lot of Germans around, as were there signs in German so I think this is a hotel for them really. We went all inclusive, first ever all inclusive holiday, bit disappointed, but then this hotel is OFFICIALLY 2 STAR, dont let hotel websites fool you. Only one type of beer and 5 spirits available, bit mean but we survived. I guess it depends what you are looking for? Breakfast, lunch and dinner is all good though you will tire of the same sort of food, just in a different sauce after 4 days. No pool side snacks, and the choise of ice creams went from being 3 to only 1 after 5 days, apparently the rules changed. No evening entertainment in the hotel. This is a quiet hotel, in a quiet area, ideal for relaxing, which is exactly what we wanted.

“Good value for money!”

I went to this hotel a few years back with a teenage daughter and an 11 year old. I would say it was not a very good resort to take kids as there is very little for them to do. Although you could take a taxi to Cala D'Or where there are alot more things to do for kids and plenty of shops plus it is not that far from this hotel. Overall though, this hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful and pleasant, and the actual apartments are good value for money and spacious. I would definetaly go back if i were just looking for a weeks holiday with plenty peace and quietness. It is good for older people and couples i would say.

We all had a fabulous time. Could not fault the cleanliness of the rooms and restaurant. Swimming pool was one of the safest, cleanest pools we have ever come across. All staff were very pleasant and helpful.Within easy walking distance of the beach, even for small children.

“Absolutely glorious place to chill”

First of all get the bad bits out of the way, booked transfer i.e.. shuttle bus with Resort Hoppa which was an absolute nightmare so dont book with them. Took us four hours from checking in at the desk to reaching apartment.
Es Corso was lovely, clean even though apartment was quite compact in the living area the bedroom was quite spacious and the balcony lovely, although there is no partition between the balconies. Everyone was pleasant and helpful to a fault.. The Germans are more catered for foodwise, although we were self catering, we did have breakfast on the first morning, but I must admit they do check their kids when they are noisy, which is more than I can say for some of the English! Sat TV only has CNN as an english channel rest is German. The pool area is gorgeous and plenty of beds although it is wise if in season to put your towels down. Not something I have ever done but everyone else does! It is not cheap now anywhere in Spain, so if you do eat out each night, like us, be prepared to pay for it. The Chinese in the square is glorious, so is the Pizzeria opposite. The Burger bar on the hill is also quite reasonable and the food is good. Best of all is Ollies bar up the hill towards the beach. Good food, good beer good hosts, good prices, try Ollies burger its HUGE. Three meals plus beers till 11 p.m. cost us 70 euros which we thought was pretty good.
There are also a couple of small supermarkets in the area, but they are not very well stocked. There are also a couple towards the harbour, and passed the pharmacy there is also a tobacconists. There are very few places to buy cigarettes, although you can smoke outside if you wish in most bars/restaurants. Best Supermarket is passed the beach on the other side behind the main bars. Quite big, but we only found this on the last day!!
Went to Porto Colom 19 years ago and glad to say it is still not commercialised and very quiet. so if you want to chill by the pool and take in the peace, then this is the place for you. Only sad note is that because of the all inclusive some of the places are empty at night.

we were moved from the estorel as it was closing on our second day of our holiday. We were really pleased this happend. We took our 3 month old baby and found this place great. The food was great . When people say they didnt like the food i think this is because the food wasn't burgers pizza and nuggets. There was pleanty of choice, with great puddings aswell. Yes i agree there was only 50% english there but people need to realise not everybody who doesn't speak english is german. I take my hat off to them all at least they have botherd to learn the english language. Please dont be put off. The staff were great and so helpful. We had a faulty toilet flush, as soon as i told reception maintenance came and sorted it. The maid must have reported our broken toilet seat and within a couple of hours at the pool somebody had mended it. We had a great holiday at this hotel and would recomend it. If you dont pay 5 star dont expect it!
