“great location”

If your tired and looking for a place just to relax ,this is it. Excellent outdoor space , no sunbeds crammed round pool , wonderful views, never left the hotel for three days
On the downside there was only nine english speaking guests, were mostly german and spanish but we shared lots of good mornings and smiles..
Lovely beach only 10 mins away and excellent bus service from end of road, which takes you to all the places on that coast. Cant wait to go back.
Not much to do if you are looking for a wild time , but if its relaxation you are looking for this is it
Excellent value for money

Room Tip: Ask for front sea view only 4 euros pp a day

“Majorca magic..”

Chose this hotel particularly for its value for money and a big plus that it does not allow children under 16 - this was the biggest bonus as all you could hear around the pool area was the turning of book pages and the sweet clink of ice in your drinks! Bliss!! The flip side of this of course is that if you are looking for a lively hotel with lots going on then this one will not fit the bill! Night time in the hotel not great if you are an early to bed type of person - walls are thin and doors bang at all times (why do people feel the need to scrape furniture across the floor at 3am????)It is a well kept, spotlessly clean hotel - some of the staff are a bit miserable but I think this is more to do with the fact that they are not Spanish and have difficulty understanding - maybe? Went all inclusive and the food is great at all times of the day - something for everyone - varied, well cooked, delicious. No problem with drinks at the bar, it was never that busy!

The outside area is just stunningly located on the cliff top with breathtaking 360 degree views over the bluest sea you will ever look at - only negative is that the terrace furniture needs to be replaced, and maybe a few more umbrellas at tables should be dotted around, although it gets very windy up there so maybe a few have been blown out to sea! Its a great spacious pool area with a shaded jacuzzi also - best views I have ever had from a jacuzzi!! Rooftop gym and facilities are beautiful, very modern and the views, again, amazing. We hired a car (recommended) so were able to potter around the lovely beaches and coves locally - Porto Colom itself I think has 'seen better days' and some parts were tired and run down (probably was a little late in the season also?) but the port itself is absolutely charming and again, the sea views and little beaches around are stunning. All in all a wonderful, relaxing, cheap holiday (which didnt feel cheap at all) - would go there again, definitely - wish I was there now!!

“Perfect location, peaceful and brilliant value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

We got a brilliant deal on an all inclusive week here. Having never been all inclusive before we weren't sure what to expect but in fact we were pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty good with plenty of variety. Some of the evening dishes were a little dubious but there was always something to eat and most importantly it was hot, fresh and the restaurant was clearly spotlessly clean. Also there was a good array of salad, veg and fruit which was a pleasant surprise - it was easy to eat healthily (we won't mention the ice cream which was a bit TOO nice!)

Staff were - without exception - friendly, smiley and very efficient.

The room was small but clean and functional with air con, a comfortable bed and a small balcony with sea views. Most of the rooms in the hotel must have good views as the hotel is on a headland with sea on 3 sides. As a previous review said there is no hairdryer so ladies take your own or air dry!

The location and grounds just made this - although the hotel was busy it never really appeared to be as people are scattered around the grounds and gardens, near one or other of the pools or by the cliff edge. The real bonus is a ladder down into the warm, clear sea - great for snorkelling and better than a dip in the pool for cooling off.

If you go out - Cala Marcal beach is great but beware the 12 euro sunbeds - and is only a 10 minute walk away. Porto Colom harbour is probably a 20 minute walk but very picturesque when you get down there with a few nice restaurants.

Night life in the hotel is low key as you would expect - there is something on every evening but don't expect wild partying - it's all very chilled. Likewise there are day time activities such as archery, darts and air rifle competitions which are good fun.

It's a great place to go if you don't want a "Brits Abroad" type location as it's probably 60% German, 20% British and 20% Spanish.

I would definitely go out for another week of sunshine and chilling out and would recommend it to anyone looking for the same.

“relaxing, peaceful and I'll definately go back”

Lovely location on a headland overlooking the sea and Cala Marcal beach which is about a 10 minute walk away. It's a little further to Porto Colom in the opposite direction. The resort is very quite, just a few bars and shops. It is not suitable people looking for nightclub and partying.
The hotel rooms are basic, white artex walls and dark wood furniture but are very clean. There is a TV with various channels including Sky News. No hairdryer though.
The spa and gym on the top floor is a new addition with modern stylish fitments which may be a sign of things to come for the rest of the hotel.
The ground floor reception area, bar and dining room also look to have been recently refurbished and are very clean and modern.
There are 2 pools, one by the bar and outside seating area and another round the side through the garden. This pool is "laned off" for those who wish to swim.
The outside terraces are a mixture of sufaces. There is a large tiled area where there are plenty of chairs and tables, some in the shade. There are also some hammocks here which is a novelty.
Beyond there, made from the cliff top ( so a little uneven under foot), are some areas with sunbeds and parasols. There are also plenty of shaded areas with sunbeds under the trees aswell as around the 2nd pool. We always managed to get a sunbed somewhere.
The food was very good with plenty of choice at all meal tmes and some dishes freshly cooked by a chef . The restaurant never felt crowded or too busy, so it was fairly relaxing to eat here compared to the scrum at some hotels I have stayed at in the past.
I think this was because it was an adult only hotel and the guests were mainly younger or older couples.
Most of the guests were German or Spanish, very few British, and they seem to have more respect and consideration for their surroundings and fellow holiday makers than I have experienced in hotels that have been solely for Britsh tourists. There was a really friendly, casual and relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel and grounds.
I will definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that wants a quiet relaxing holiday in a lovely location.
