I booked here primarily because it was cheap and was quite pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean and functional and the hotel has a pool, bar and restaurant. The front desk staff are very good and on the way back our transfer bus didn't turn up. The receptionist noticed we were waiting longer than expected and insisted on chasing the company and arranging a complementary taxi when they couldn't make it so top marks for service and initiative.

I opted for half board as it was only a few pounds extra, but after a couple of meals we decided to eat out as it's not exactly great for vegetarians. The food is OK just a bit uninspiring. The rooms have kitchens as well.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from Puerto portals which has some fantastic restaurants but is quite pricey (£15 for a gin and tonic or £11 for a pina colada). The beach at Puerto portals is about 15 minutes walk and is very nice.

The area around the hotel is quite hilly and may not suit people with mobility problems.

Local buses pick up about 100m from the hotel and a few euros will get you to Palma quickly. there is also a very cheap car hire place just down by the entrance to the port run by a cockney geezer!

Stayed here for two weeks with my sister in September had a lovely time location very convenient small beach a ten min walk away bus stop to Palma and Palma nova across the road very clean nice friendly staff lovely pool only complaint animation team catered mostly for eastern European patrons lovely peace and quiet once twelve at night comes no problem sleeping

We arrived at this hotel after a weeks cruise on Grandeur of the Seas and as it was only 3 star we were not expecting a lot.The food was not up to much.There was no entertainment and the bar area was always in semi darkness.The state of the sunbeds were absolutely disgusting broken dirty and all wanted replacing.The only good thing was the view from our 5th floor apartment looking out to sea.There was nothing except the Marina in Portals Nous so once you,ve seen all the boats thats it.We had stayed at another Ola hotel before,Hotel Maioris which was very good and we expected this hotel to be about the same,unfortunately not.

Went here for 7 nights 9-16th Oct 2011. Was really pleased with the whole experience. We were lucky and had room 523. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The only bad thing about the whole holiday was the uncomfortable beds. These were REALLY uncomfortable. Everything else was great. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly. We ate at the hotel twice and found it was very acceptable.
A nice quiet evening can be had in the village of Portals Nous. If you come out of the hotel and turn left, walk to the end of the road and turn right. This looks like it leads to a dead end, but to the right of the little roundabout are some steps leading downwards. Go down these steps and turn left. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. The Indian restaurant on the right called Akbar is fantastic. We had the best Indian food in there! Also worth a visit is Restaurant Jose's. This is on the left at the beginning of the strip of restaurants.
Would definately go back if we were looking for a last minute deal, paid £370 for the 2 of us self catering.
