“Unusual, very differant 2week holiday as the only Brits in hotel!”

Love the resort, had visited while staying in Camp de mar.3 nice beaches, excellent walks, great boulevard the length of town, shops, bars, restaurants, hotels local bus route. We were there during a Spanish fiesta, maybe that is why there were no other Brits! The hotel was full of Spanish,French,Polish,Austrian,Russian,German & others.A mini united nations & great fun! There was a campsite in the woods near the hotel full of Spanish families enjoying the holiday.Just off the beach there was a square with free nightly entertainment Idian windpipes,a brass band, mime artists & lots more. The sky & beach were alight @ night with fireworks & glowsticks. There was a jetty @ the end of our bay where daily boat trips went out. Locals were fishing there & throwing bread into the water & watching the feeding frenzy greatly amused us.There are 3 pools&jacuzzi over 2 levels, pool snack bar with chef cooking in front of you from 30mins after end of breakfast.2shops on site. All day entertainment great multi national team-what else?Food was basic but plenty of choice so you never go hungry. Bar had beer/wine/soft drinks/slushies/tea&coffee on tap so bar staff only had to cater for other orders.A wonderful stay-met lots of lovely people-staying in touch with a German couple we met. Will return.

“Thorughly enjoyed holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I went with family and we spent much fo our time out of the hotel in the local area. The hotel is kinda dated and needs a good revamp to make the most of it. Its nice that its right on the beach and restaurants in the close vicinty are ok.
We had a hire car throughout our weeks stay and would recommend people to do this if you want to explore, we drove to puerto pollensa which was lovely right by the marina and harbour and well worth a visit.
Overall i think this is a good hotel for a family holiday but its definitely not luxurious in any sense of the word.

“Great amenities and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

The first impression of the hotel is not the best. The hotel needs a facelift as it is dated. One of 3 wings of the hotel was totally closed for renovations- no work was being done so it was not disturbing to hotel guests. Despite the need for updating, I highly recommend this hotel for family vacations. It has a fantastic location- right on the beach with most rooms having at least a bit of see view. The beach is very clean with beautiful sand, clear and shallow water- perfect for kids and adults. It is in a small bay so it is protected from strong currents and big waves. Hotel is in town so it is easy 3 min walk to the main street with shops, restaurants and other hotels. (everything is very reasonable- you don't feel like you are being gouged: ) ) The hotels amenities are excellent: 3 pools, play ground, mini golf, pool and ping-pong tables. The rooms are older and fairly small for american standard, but clean. Air condition did not work well in some rooms, but I was lucky and got my room changed the next day after arrival. (Mallorka was totally booked that week) . Food was fresh and fairly tasty- enough size buffet style that everyone can choose someting. Every day pretty much the same thing, though for both lunch and supper. I was ready for change of food after a week. Given that the prices in restaurants in town are very affordable (8-16 Euros per entree), we did go out a few times. As a side note, I do not recommend any tours offered in the hotel as they are expensive and you spent hours in the bus picking up guests at different hotels in different towns!! Just rent a car.

“Horribly disappointing!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2011

Beverley playa hotel in Peguera is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in.At first glance the reception appears modern and welcoming, so imagine the shock when you open the door to a room which transports you back to the 60's. The room was really dilapidated: cracks in the wall, mould/algae in the bathroom, a broken door handle which kept coming off, paint coming off the walls ( see photos attached). Every morning and evening there would be a cacophony of noise in the. Sheets and towels were changed about once a week but with 30 degrees and above heat one would expect linen to be changed more regularly. To make our much anticipated holiday even worse, my partners designer sunglasses were stolen from the room and on reporting it to the front desk we told they would let us know if it turned up! We were informed by the locals that the owner of the hotel has gone bankrupt which explains why part of the hotel was closed off.

The only few good points i will mention is that the hotel is located right next to the beach with some nice bars on the beach front when you need a nice cold beer or glass of wine. The much needed air conditioning was in working condition and housekeeping did some basic cleaning on a daily basis. Peguera has some really nice bars, cafes and restaurants, whilst catering for the many german holidaymakers, you will come across excellent tapas at local majorcan eat outs Cafe Enrique and Miguels.I had some of the best local tastes here whilst Romantica is great for evening entertainment.

Room Tip: I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

“Don't stay here if you want a nice vacation”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2010

I have never checked out of a hotel before staying a night. The last thing my wife and I wanted to do was to search out another hotel while already in Spain but we walked around the resort for a half hour and made the decision to leave. We really felt that we were back in 1980 with how the hotel looked. It was obvious when we told the person at the front desk that we were leaving that this happens a lot. We felt very uncomfortable there and the room was like a slum. We aren't snobs at all and were not looking for the Ritz but wow... if you are looking for a nice vacation spot in Majorca, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. No offense to the people who liked this place but there are plenty of nicer hotels to stay at.
