“Not Exited, less than what i expected for cheap price.”

We wanted a cheap hotel for a 10 day first family holiday and cheap is what we saw. it looks as though all the thought has been put into making the hotel look as nice as possible and no thought has gone anywhre else.

It is a very nice small and quiet hotel. The staff are extremly friendly and the hotel is very clean and tidy. Thepool is quite small but i prefere it like that.

There were familys with children and the hotel was not filled with screaming kids.
The internet is not free it costs 1euro for 15mins.
The drinks at the bar are quite cheap and they rival alot of the bars in the boulevard however i was not impressed by how all of the cocktails are premixed.

The room has a tv and good air conditioning but our room had a crap view. Perhaps the other had better but ours was of a wall.

My only two big thorns in my side about thishotel is firstly and most importantly....the food.
The first night we were shocked at how bad it was. The chips were very undercooked and everything looked like it was from the freezer. The breakfast is the same as nothing changes but i suppose they cater for the majority of the germans that come here to Toast, ham and cheese. nothing new.

The other thing i didnt like was the stairs everywhere. Pushing a buggy around up and down everyday is tiring and quite hard work. Everywhere even to the dining room (which is in the basement) is full of flights of stairs.

It is good for a couple who intend on spending alot of time out in town or away in palma.
the buses are advertised in the hotel as is alot of other stuff to do.

I would not recomend this hotel for somebody who wants class or first class (spanish) cuisine. Nothing i ate or drank was local.

“We are not excited”

When we arrived - we have been explained that there are no free rooms and we will have to spend the night in another hotel. As compensation they offered free drinks for dinner in two days and free safebox for a week. At dinner served very modest selection of dishes that indistinctive for Spain, and we had dinners at the town restaurants to maintain a positive mood. Mattresses awfully slipping on the couch, and if you are the pair - it has value. They are treacherously sprawling in the most inopportune time. Pool and building in whole are attractive.

  • Liked — Spacious roms
  • Disliked — choice of dishes and maids

“Not that good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2008

Dated room with mould in the bathtub and with no view. Half board is with a poor variety. Not good for what we have paid. Close to the beach and shops was the only positive thing.
No free internet as advertised not even wifi as one receptionist said. Receptionists tried to speak English. We had to complain so we could sit alone at the dining room. Although they have several empty tables they insist on having 2 rooms per table. Rediculus. We tried to change halfboard option but they were not having it. They said we've booked half board so we should stay halfboard. Oh yes forgot to mention dinning room can only be described as an underground bunker.

Will not recomend!!!

“great value for small budgets”

I am very surprised to see Tora dosent have more reviews as i found this hotel to be comfortable clean & fantastic value for money.

After lengthy searches looking for a Paguera hotel I contacted the hotel direct & beat any website quote..A spacious cosy double room was just 52euro per night per couple ,
Including a 4 course buffet breakfast (same everyday but big selection for all tastes) & an evening meal, again a 4 course buffet, (soup, salads ,desserts & a selection of meat fish & veggie dishes that changed daily)

Didnt' fault the food once as it was serve yourself however, if you needed a drink with dinner you had to catch the only waiter serving 50+ tables & being rushed off hes feet he never had a smile! except the day Spain beat Germany in the European cup final.....but he always greeted us with a "Good morning", to practise he's English i think as we were the only English guests in the hotel. which made a refreshing change as we didnt have to be bothered the whole week talkin to anyone!

The hotel Tora is in a convenient central position 1 minute from the promenade,3 mins from the beach but situated up a slight slope which would not be good for older less able people & the only negative thing i would add is that the dining room is in an adjoining building that has 2 flights of stairs down & i didnt notice a lift which would make it non accessible for the disabled.

I noticed many reviews of Paguera commenting that it is a German resort, so what? if you want a fry up,a pint of bitter & talk premier league football all day go to magalluf!

Paguera is a pretty seaside family resort & i would definatly stay there again, take time to walk 20mins up & over to Cala Fornels, stunning villas vegetation & views.
