“10 day stay - amazing!”

After reading the reviews on this site before i left i was a bit skeptical but when i arrive i was surprised! The hotel was really good.. everything you'd expect for the price. Maid came every day which was not what i expected with clean towels and tidied up the mess from the previous night as we used our room for predrinks, if for some reason you didnt want a maid in then you could lock your door from the inside and she was unable to access the room, that is what the boys next door to us did. There was 8 of us who stayed in this hotel and we all enjoyed our experience, we had a room which if you went on the balcony there was a roof right below so it made me feel safer! We went self catering but the room provided everything you needed. I only ate noodles from the spar next door so i was easily sorted though lol. Don't be fooled by the hill, i am the most unfit person and it was fine to walk up after a night out. The beach is also right opposite which was handy! This is a hotel suited for 18-30.. i wouldn't feel comfortable coming here with my parents. I didn't realise the noise which in some of the reviews some people say about - my room was more or less right by the reception/pool area aswell. I'd get in at 7am and even though the poolside music starts at 10am i still managed to sleep so it's not a problem.

“Fantastic hotel but NOT for families/children.”

The hotel is absolutely brilliant, although rather misleading as it's definitely NOT in Palma Nova, as you walk out of the hotel you are basically at the end of Punta Ballena which is the main strip in Maga. I stayed with two friends in a one bed apartment which was a little bit cramped. I'd say a one bed apartment is fine for up to 3 people but I definitely wouldn't have liked to have had a fourth in there with us.

The pool is really nice although in our one week stay we never ever had a sun lounger. Although if I'm honest, we weren't really leaving our rooms until about 2pm at the earliest!

The pool bar is good, I'd recommend the vodka slush puppies which are lovely on a hot day!

I really wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with children under 17, this hotel is definitely a party hotel with music playing by the pool all day and people rolling in from nights out at 7am. I didn't find the noise at night too bad but then again I was one of those coming back at 6am every night.

BEWARE OF THE SECURITY GUARD. He seemed to take a liking to me and we would find him watching us through our balcony doors from the pool area and he would turn up at our door several times a night while we were getting ready asking for a kiss. He actually tried to force his way into the room when I was on my own one time. I did report him to reception and they must have told him to back off because I didn't see him very much again while we were there.

The staff at the hotel are really nice, on our first day (literally JUST as we arrived) my friend sat on the sofa and broke it! We were worried they'd charge us for the damage so we actually tried to hide it but when a maid saw it she said it'd be fine if we just tell reception so we did. About an hour later a lovely maintenance guy was along and fixed it straight away. The maids were nice as well and didn't seem to mind that our room was always in a right state, she did seem to get a bit flustered when she saw a pair of boxers on our kitchen side but she laughed it off!

I stayed here in Sept 09 and am returning in June 2012 and will be staying at the TRH Palmanova as I was really impressed with the hotel for how cheap it was.

Again, the hotel is NOT for families or the elderly, while I was there, there was one family with a very young daughter and I did feel bad for them but I believe they moved hotels. And by the way, the hill really isn't that bad!

Room Tip: The restaurant outside the hotel (Florida II) does a brilliant English Breakfast for 3 Euros all day...

“Brilliant!”

I stayed here for 4 nights in June self-catering, I then returned here in August for 3 nights half-board as I was so pleased with the hotel. Really nice pool, clean apartments, food not bad. Really central to the Magaluf strip. Ideal for a cheap and cheerful time in Magaluf for young people as it is very lively. Hotel staff very helpful. Only downside is the massive hill on the way home, heels are a no go! Would definitly return and recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view, the first time we went we had a wall view! But second time was much better.

“4 week stay, AMAZING!”

Right, i feel obliged to write this review as I absolutely love this hotel! I worked in magaluf for the summer and when i first got there in april i stayed at the hotel for near on 4 WEEKS Before moving into our own flat. The staff we're amazing especially at reception who chuckled as they watched us staggering in at 7am! they we're always helpful and if we had any problems they we're ALWAYS resolved the same day! I ain't being funny, but if you're going to complain about it being noisy and full of young people go to madeira and be old and boring there! You're in magaluf for goodness sake its hardly pensioner central. No the hotel probably isn't well suited to families with younger children, but again when booking a holiday in magaluf alarm bells should be ringing. Good up to date music around the pool all day and bar open all day. if you're a group of 18-30 year olds looking for a good cheap hotel then this is the one. in 4 weeks nothing ever went missing, again all the staff we're amazing the maids even taught me a bit of spanish!

Room Tip: 413 is the one! jump over your balcony onto the massive roof terrace.

“Excellant for what we wanted!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

We booked the TRH Palmanova for a girls weekend in Magaluf, and although the hotel address says Palma Nova.. it's right in Magaluf!. We arrived quite late, around 11pm and we checked in easily with no problems. The hotel staff that we saw were friendly and very helpful. The room was basic, we had a 1 bedroom apartment that slept 4 although there was only 2 of us sharing so was plenty big enough for us. The room wasn't awful, but it was in no way a great room either.. we named it our 'bat cave'.. the front of the apartment was the bedroom and had a very slim window that was really high up and was covered in thick blinds, which actually in a morning was fabulous, however it made it a very dark room all day. The living room/kitchen was spacious, and wasn't really dirty, we had a huge patio door that led on to a balcony. Unfortunately there was a huge tree hanging over it and neither one of us dared to sit on there in fear of what might fall out of the tree!!! again this also meant we had no sunlight in the living room. I think we were unlucky to get this room, but we weren't too bothered as the only time we spent in the room was to sleep and get ready to go out. The cleanliness of the public areas of the hotel was fine, but the room wasn't great.. the room was clearly not cleaned thoroughly after the last guests were in there.
The hotel itself is located on a very steep hill.. it was fine for us, but anyone who doesn't like walking, walking up hills, or has problems with mobility shouldn't book this hotel.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone taking children, but for a weekend away with the girls/guys it's great.
