We have jut spent 3 nights at the hotel Tobago after a weeks cruise around the med. The rooms were ready on arrival and had a nice view over the bay and beach. They were clean although the sheets were torn. After four times of asking we did get extra pillows. The staff were friendly when approached. The tv in the room was 2 euros per day but did get uk channels. We were full board but only had one breakfast and one evening meal in the hotel as the food was lukewarm and unappetising.

we went to the hotel for 4 days just me and my partner,when we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful our room was clean and perfect for what we wanted, the beach is a stone through away and there is plenty to do at night there are also so many places to eat, the room was cleaned every day fresh towls clean beds, we had brkfast every day and there was so much choice it was really nice, we had a fab time there it can be noisy at night and i wouldnt take my children in high season but for mr and my partner it was just note perfect in every way the beach is amazing the weather was fab over all we had the best 4 days ever

On arrival at the d'or Tobago after booking full board we were told no room at the inn so transported to Marina TorreNova, very lively and not what we were looking for. Food was excellent and soft drinks fantastic. Booze disgusting kept thinking maybe we were drinking the illegal stuff you know with all sorts of nasty ingredients, tasted like paint stripper, tried several different to find something suitable didn't succeed. Taxied to original d'or Tobago, wonderful view and told we can have a free safe, wow. Room reasonable size for three, bathroom very dated, tired and dirty grouting, sealant etc.

Food was unbelievable stale bread rolls and loaves most days, cooked breakfast cold every day, cold plates and disgustingly dirty and marked, sure they are not washed in hot water or with detergent. Very poor choice, same every day and poor quality and taste.

After a day spoke to other British parties and five or six different parties all been shipped out to other places, not good enough, reception staff dont care they need to get a different job very rude at times. We were informed that we should be having free water and wine with our meals so once we found this out we asked and a sealed bottle of water was proudly presented and also a sealed bottle of wine, as soon as we showed our ticket the waitress, again very rude as they all were dont bother getting out the way just keep going, snatched the wine back but I had my hand on the water. She started shouting at me but I would not let go. Next night unsealed bottle of tap water sometimes cooled sometimes not and the wine served with a pop on lid and the name was Camp di Pi, my husband added a couple of ss's at the end of the pi and the description was perfect. My daughter went to reception to say ticket for the wine and water not working and the manager came down and again raised voices and toldl me I didn't know what I was on about when I said I didn't want tap water I wanted the sealed bottles and his reply was "oh no these have to paid for". What was the point of giving us the ticket, crap, crap crap.

I really do enphasize if you want a view this is the place to go, if you want to be treated like holidaymakers this is not the place to go, its like being in prison the way you are treated. Go to the Marina Torre Nova, if we had known we would have requested to stay there for the week. Flipping awful.

I went to D'or Tobago for a 4 day stay with my mum. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, the rooms were clean and spacious. The reception staff were very rude to us on more than one occasion so this was a bit of a put off. My hairdryer broke 2 days in to our stay so I paid for a loan of one from reception, the receptionist told me if I broke it like English people do I will be charged 100 Euros! Wasn't very happy about her attitude. The hotel was full of hen nights and stag do's and was very rowdy, I know this isn't the hotels fault but I felt like they could have been doing with some sort of security as there was a full scale riot outside our room at 5am and no one done anything about it. The pool is very small, the bar staff are really friendly and I found the food to be nice, there's a lot of variety but the breakfasts were swimming in grease. The hotel is in a good location and in need of a bit of an updated. Was a cheep and cheerful hotel but I wouldn't rush back. .
