i stayed at the rosa del mar in september and it was lovely! the room was cleaned every day apart from sunday, it was a lovely room with a view over the pool! the pool always clean and tidy and a nice size but absoloutly freezing! the receptionists were really nice - one day i left my bag outside and went to marine land! it had some very valuable things in it - i rang the hotel (luckily i had my phone) and the man kindly went a got my bag for me and after 20 minutes it was still there! it is a 5 minute walk from the strip and 2 mins from the beach which is lovely! the strip is absoloutly brilliant! if you want an immense time deffinetly get yourself to magaluf! we ate in the godfather restaurant nearly every night it is lush and the prices are fantasticly cheap! this hotel i would say is more for families and couples and im sure you will have a lovely time! i would recommend marine land - the dolphin and sea lion show was out of this world and then you can have your photos taken with them if you want! and western water park was brill aswel! be careful on the boomerang - i got whiplash and it was not nice haha! all in all a fantastic time and i will be returnin to magaluf for my 21st nest year! BRING IT ON!!

Please dont listen to the bad reviews on here, we are a couple in our late 40s and 50s and 2 girls aged 20.Had an absolutely brilliant week at this hotel.All the staff were friendly and hotel was very very clean. Towels and bedding changed regular, pool gr8,rooms were good if all u wanted to do was sleep n shower in them no complaints from me on the rooms.
The Godfather restaurant is excellent value for money and meals are fantastic in every aspect also the same at breeze cafe on the beach,full english Breakfast was out of this world and im a fussy eater.
We had 2 bad experiences on cafes one being the El Mecca where the Breakfasts was warmed up and just to say aired not fresh at all and the lady waitress very ignorant towards us.
The Cutty Sark cafe was terrible the lady wairtress again was very rude table not set properly so i asked for salt n sauces and she sighed and reluctantly walked off to get them then she fetched the Breakfast and there was no beans on my plate so i requested some and was given a tut and a sarcastic comment of "anything else darling" to which i replied "no thankyou darling " they ought to realise its people like us that keep them in a job and business.
On the whole would deffo go back to the same hotel and resort,Fantastic time had by us all.Marineland and western park are fantastic trips and value for money.

We stayed at the Rosa del Mar for 6 nights at the end of September. This time of year had a lot of older visitors, probably equal with the younger crowd. The hotel was in a perfect location for both Magalluf and Palmanova, only a 2 minute walk to either place. Weather was perfect - sunny and hot!
We were in a self-catering studio apartment. We booked for two people, through Expedia, and we got three beds made up. We would have preferred a double bed but we did not request one. We cooked most of our meals in our room. Pots, a pan, plates, toaster, fridge, kettle cutlery and glasses were provided, with two hob elements. A microwave would have been nice but none provided.
Given the quieter time of year, we were given a pool view, though I suspect at busier times it would be first in first served. So the view was great! We did not pay extra for this, and did not know we would getting a pool view before arriving.
Cleaners do not come on Thursdays and Sundays, but that was fine by us. My only complaint with the cleaning is the lack of soap! We were provide with two small bars on arrival, and we expected new soap as this disappeared, but we got no more for the rest of the week and had to buy our own. I would have expected complimentary soap.
We came to Mallorca to get out and enjoy the beaches and night life, not sit in our room, so the room was fine for us, being 3 star.
It can get noisy in the hotel, but I can imagine is it like that everywhere. We were on the 3rd floor above reception and bar area, and we could hear phones ringing and talking in reception. But again, we weren't too bothered about this. We both slept well. Beds were comfy enough.
We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on food. We were not very impressed with food in general on this trip and very glad we chose self catering. Found a lovely chinese place to eat on our last night, would have been there every night had we known! So highly recommend Happy Chinese. Can get cheap breakfast at Florida cafe just down the road for 2.50 euros. Bip supermarket close by for all your needs.
Had a few stag parties staying while we were there. People should know that's why parties come to Magalluf! Yes they drink by the pool and can get noisy, but that is what they are there for! If you stay near Magalluf, you have to expect that. They certainly didn't bother us in the slightest, and the kids playing in the pool didn't care! They can be quite entertaining!
Hotel entertainment was OK, each night they had bingo and quizzes. We went once, the rest of the evenings we were out and about.

just back from palma nova stayed in rosa del mar hotel hotel ok but food not good was booked half board breakfast was cold and the choice for dinner was bad we had to eat out every evening the air con was not working but when reported it was fixed straight away
