Very beautiful finca in a small village away from popular beaches and busy Palma. Nice garden and swimming pool. Excellent cuisine. Quiet and comfortable environment. But one has to like wilderness and accept narrow roads to get anywhere. Shops or doctors are at least 10 kms away.

We so very much enjoyed a four-night stay at Son Palou. For us this was the absolutely perfect place - out in the countryside; beautiful grounds; great accommodation; and food that was beyond our wildest expectations.

We booked a Junior Suite (unit 10) - large, comfortable with a huge bathroom and very nice four poster bed. We enjoyed a large inside sitting area and a private terrace. Only a few feet away lounge chairs allowed us to enjoy the views of the Orient valley all the while listening to the bells on the sheep grazing nearby.

Marc was very hospitable and helpful throughout our stay.

Although 8 km from the nearest two and with two other restaurants in the village and another a couple of kilometres down the road we never imagined eating all four nights at Son Palou. But after the first meal, and then the second there was no second thought - we enjoyed all four meals at the finca. The presentation, quality and service were simply top notch. Everyone was wonderful but special mention to Toni at dinner and Diana at breakfast.

Son Palou is not the cheapest place to stay, but if you want quality, service, great food, peace, and quiet - this is your place. It is a drive to the beaches (the roads are narrow and twisty) but it is a great location for hiking and nice drives in the country. Just depends on what you are looking for. For us it was perfect, a place we would return in a heartbeat.

We were lucky enough to revisit Son Palou in October for the second time this year. This is such a perfectly charming & peaceful place that we didnt think we could possibly find any better. It is hard to do this place justice with photos because the views are so beautiful from every angle. We were again wonderfully looked after by all the lovely friendly staff and we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals which are to an incredibly high standard. We had super characterful rooms away from the main building - all of which are immaculate. and were again lucky with the weather so were able to enjoy the infinity pool. The main building itself is absolutely charming and there are lovely places to sit and relax both inside and out. It is hard to describe just how special this place is - suffice to say we have booked again for 2012!

Son Palou is an excellent little hotel; our room in one of the "out buildings" was spacious and comfortable. breakfast service was friendly and efficient as were all the staff. strongly recommended and we shall be back next year.
