Just reurned from hotel Samos on a stag do of 20 Rhondda boys.
Location was great next to bcm and the strip, pool area and Bar was also clean and tidy, with cracking stuff and good value on the drinks.
Rooms where small, but at least they had air con.
Food was ok, I recommend the Veal burgers & I was quite partial thier special 'le dap'of veal'
As for magaluf.... You must visist 'revs' down the strip, but make sure you put your Ray Beris on as it's a sun trap! Bars were quality as you would expect and some of the boys enjoyed the 'shopping'.
In Summary.... Great hotel for stags, hens. Not one for families and beware if your a young calf !
As for magaluf itself, well...
Unlike previous posts I thought this hotel was good. Cracking location, rooms were fine for what we needed, (bit tight with 3 to a room but HeyHo) good view (....from my room at least) and good food.
I was part of the 20 attending a stag do and it ticked all my boxes - I suppose some people pints are half full rather than half empty. If your going on holidays to do some "shopping" then thats your downfall. Stag Dos are for partying, not sleeping+shopping lads!!!
Although some hotel rooms views were particulary bad - i'll give them that!!
Pool area was good aswell 5 Euros for 2 drinks on most things......... party on people!
We arrived with a party of 20 on a stag weekend and fair play to the Hotel they let us check in at 10:30am.
That was about as good as it gets im afraid apart from the staff and location which could not be faulted. When we wandered into reception slightly anebriated after our 2 hour flight from Cardiff, first impressions were pretty dam good - good size, modern deco with cream leather sofa's a plenty.
However when we reached our room it was QUITE the opposite, 3 single beds a 14" T.V with 1 channel and a balcony view that i personally could not wait to vomit all over, this was sooo bad it was beyond belief. We opened the curtains expecting some sort of view at least but instead were greeted by a 50 ft grey concrete roof, secured in by a gigantic pain of glass with 2 yellow chairs. The room was so small you could barely swing a Veal!!!
Breakfast was shocking, evening meal simply full of Veal every night, Veal Escalopes and Veal Carbonara so if you like Veal ( I Don't ) you're ok.
This is def not a family hotel, not in May anyway so avoid unless you're out there to get lashed up day/night and expect louts shouting and banging doors til the sun comes up!!
Having said all this it was a brilliant weekend.
Does anyone out there like veal? If so then this hotel's great for you, but if you don't then its variation on veal every day is staggering - I didn't know veal could achieve such variety. Food was in all honesty rubbish with the execption of the fresh oranges for breakfast.
We were there on a stag weekend and as such the location of the hotel was good, and the staff were friendly. Our room was kept clean and tidy.
If you can cope with hearing drunken people knocking doors - searching for their rooms from 5 until about 8 in the morning then good. However, if you don't like such a racket and don't like the quite unbelievable variety of veal dishes on offer EVERY day then avoid this hotel.
As many stag and hen parties I would not personally recommend this hotel if you have a young family.
