Myself and a group of 4 other girls (aged 18) stayed in this hotel for a week last July.
The location was great, right in the centre of the nightlife, and only a two minute walk to the beach, couldnt really ask for better. However the hotel itself wasnt great. This was a dissapointment as First Choice had sold us this hotel under the impression it a was a 3 star hotel, and although I knew it wasnt going to be luxury, i had expected a little more.
Firstly, THIS IS NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY HOTEL. If you are looking to come on holiday in july/august to magaluf it is only to be expected to be full of rowdy teenagers. Its how the hotel staff and managment's way of handeling this stituation was beyond unbelieveable. Every single night there were people shouting and screaming right through until 7am, blaring music through the corridors, people banging on our door, ringing our rooms phone, one time a couple were having a blazing row outside our room, god knows what he was doing to her but she was screaming and sounded like she was being beaten up. I like to have a laugh, but this was unacceptable behaviour. On the third night of this happening, I rang hotel reception and informed them of what was going on. They then sent up a couple of security guards, who chucked them out of the hotel immeadiatley.
Secondly the staff. Where do they find these people? Possibly the rudest people ive ever met in my life! One time I was walking through the door to the hotel bar, and one of the bar staff decided she wasnt going to let me pass first and walked straight into me shouting abuse in spanish, and then hissed at me. lovely! The security staff were vile animals. Their way of handling rowdy teenagers were to beat the **** out of them and send them packing. They specially target young boys, and it seemed if they set one foot out of line they would be next up for a beating. For instance on our last night we had made friends with a group of lads, and as it was their last night decided to go a bit crazy and flipped a few mattresses around the room(which was unacceptable). But security came into their room and gave each of them a beating (one boys nose looked as if it was broken and there was blood everywhere) They then had their passports taken off them and werent even aloud to pack up their own stuff. To get their pasports back to travel home that day, they each had to pay the hotel 200 euros each. Surely this is illegal?
Also one night whilst we were getting ready to go out, some boys from the room next door had come in to have a drink before going out (this was only about 9pm) and security had come up and demanded the boys leave our room. It was like staying in a prison or on school camp.
I would definatly reccomend paying for the safe as I wouldnt trust the staff here one bit, although sometimes that might not even work as on our first day, a group of blokes were at reception claiming their safe had been opened and all their money and passports had been taken. The only advice the receptionist could give was the location of the emergency passport centre.
Overall, we didnt let this spoil out time here as we had an amazing week! nightlife was incredible and beach was beautiful! Food was average, wasnt really expecting anything more and cleanliness was OK.
But i wouldnt reccommend this hotel to anyone!
