We stayed at the Pension Miramar during our travel around Mallorca, and as we like small local places and don't mind simple living - we stayed at this pension. The location is like a small hide-away and you can see the amazing sea from the pension, and while the service was also good this is generally a nice place to stay. However beware, we were fooled by its charm when it came to actually sleeping there - the bed was hard like a plain piece of wood, and left both of us either sleepless or with a very painful back&neck. In addition, the walls and doors are not sealed well and you can hear every single sound, including people using the shared bathroom on the floor (as if someone was using it next to your bed). Deia is expensive in general so I'm not sure what opinion to give, but just beware of possible sleeplessness if you stay at this hostal.
They serve you breakfast outside which I think was included in the price, which was really nice.

The outstanding attractions of this pension are the view from the terrace and the general peacefulness of the place. Rooms are simple (bring your own glasses and kettle) but kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast is simple. This is by far the cheapest place in Deia but you really would benefit from your own transport as, contrary to what is claimed on the pension website, they no longer serve food, and all the restaurants in Deia are expensive (bar one that is open at weekday lunchtimes). It is a 10 minute uphill walk from Deia to the pension, and 40 minute downhill walk to the beach. There is plenty of good walking nearby. There is a sporadic bus service to other places. The owners are reserved but courteous.

Owners are discrete, low noice and birds in trees. View over Deia, nice slow walk uphill in moonlight after good espresso & a glass of mallorcine Suao at El Barrigon at main street. Miramar is not exstravagant, just quiet and peaceful. Do not tell anyone else about this...
