“Relaxing”

The Es Moli is a great place to stay on the Northern coast of Majorca. We went in June to chill out and spent most of our time at the private cove a few miles away. This was easy to reach in our hired car, but if you have no wheels then the hotel will take you by minibus. The cove has sea access (but no beach) and is a great place to read and relax, with drinks and simple meals provided by the always cheerful Anna. Next time we hope to do some hiking. The hotel is comfortable and the pool is clean and relaxing. The selection at breakfast is excellent, while the dinner menu is always good. There are fine views in all directions and you can walk to the sea in less than a mile but we didn't do so. The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and the receptionists are very helpful.

“Es Moli in October”

Es Moli feels right for a holiday in Deia: from the botanical gardens with labelled trees, to the idyllic private cove on the Med. and the friendly ,local and excellent staff. Visit Robert Graves' house built in the 1930's and you'll see that it and Es Moli 'go together'.
Ensure you see Monday's special Mallorquin menu on Sunday: best suckling pig I have ever ordered on the island but you need to order the day before.
Lovely ambiance, bougainvillea in abundance, a view of terraces of orange trees from the pool and a Merc to transport you from the airport in half an hour.
My daughters ( in their twenties) now want to go: proof it appeals to different generations.

Just returned from a wonderful few days at the Es Moli...Cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and its lovely location. Excellent food, more than helpful staff. Lovely views from the hotel down to the sea and upto the little church on top of the hill, not to mention the lovely private cove and cafe managed by Anna always with a smile....we will definitely go back.Susan & David Cheshire

“First class hotel, beautiful setting, friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

My husband and stayed at Es Moli with my mother and it suited all of us. My mother was looking out for other guests with walking sticks hoping that she wasn't the oldest guest! Reassuringly there was a complete mix of ages The hotel rooms were very comfortable and ours had a great view towards the town of Deia and in the other direction, of the sea. Buffet breakfasts were superb, public rooms fresh and clean. The swimming pool is in a beautiful setting with spacious areas for relaxing and overlooking the well maintained and interesting terraced gardens. A dip in the sea at the private cove was a real treat, It was warm and beautifully clear even in October and is reached by the complimentary hotel bus service.

We were a bit confused by the vegetarian menu which appeared to be the same price as the main set 3 course menu but was only 2 courses i.e. did not include dessert. Certainly when my husband ordered dessert he was told it would be extra. The vegetarian choice was not great, and would have been transformed if only it could have included some of the vegetables that accompany other meals so giving a variety of tastes.

Anyhow, I won't dwell on that as it is only of interest to vegetarians. Every other aspect of our stay was perfect and we have come back with very good memories of Es Moli and Deia.

“Good pool and breakfast but not sure about dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

This place is well located with views out to sea or mountains or the village of Deya. To get into the village it is a 15 or so minute walk. The grounds of the hotel are a source of pride and the pool is great for doing lengths. The hotel has a rather old-fashioned feel and that includes the antique television and the poor reception in our bed-room. Some of the bar staff are insolent if you are not one of the annual visitors. There are plenty of comfortable lounges for older guests to snooze in or read the Telegraph.
We stayed there on a half-board basis, thank heavens. Whilst breakfast was excellent the one evening meal we had was mediocre. Actually it was nice to walk into Deya every night and have a bite to eat, a few drinks and then walk back to the hotel. Deya has a good mix of eateries. The hotel also provides a courtesy bus to a sea-cove and there is plenty of walking in the area. Soller and Valledemosa are easily accessible by car or bus or even on foot!

Room Tip: Splash out and get a room with a balcony.
