So I booked an allocation on arrival holiday to Majorca for my girlfriend and I, ending up at Calma. We got such a cheap deal, that it could have been terrible hotel and would still have been a bargain.

However Calma isn't terrible. Its a nice (not great) hotel. The rooms are basic but fine, and cleaned immaculately every day. I found the food excellent, though my vegetarian girlfriend did struggle to find much to eat on some days. The pool area is quite small and I can imagine it not being sufficient for the size of the hotel in the height of the Summer. However with the beach only 5 minutes walk that's not really a problem.

Calma is a predominently French hotel, but I did not feel that English guests were treated more or less favourably. Reception staff were very helpful and other staff generally polite too. The French entertainment in the evenings was certainly eccentric but fun none the less.

To sum up, I've stayed at much nicer hotels than Calma, but for a cheap break I was not dissapointed.

my friend and i from scotland stayed at calma on the 18/10/2010. very nice hotel near buses,and near the beach . the manager was very helpful ,and so was the staff. we are hoping to go back again in the near future . the rooms were lovely,and clean ,beds were made every day . the food was lovely plenty choices for everyone .we could guarantee this hotel . 10 out of 10 . thankyou for our lovely stay ,2girls from scotland................

To be honest when I read a reviews I wanted to cancel my vacation, I am thrilled that I did not because he was one of our better vacations. The hotel has an excellent location, the food is perfect, always has several kinds of meat and fish, lots of salad, cheese, cooked vegetables and dessert is beautiful, few cakes, lot of fruits, snack is an excellent choice you have a hot dog, burger or toast, breakfast was excellent , perfect lunch, we had all inclusive and is not true that the French first serve guests, we were always served on time, they answered every our request as soon as possible, everything is perfectly clean, the rooms are cleaned every day, I have not seen a single bug, and I abnormally afraid bugs, the staff is very friendly and kind, towels are excellent quality, the place is beautiful, near the capital, a long promenade, if we ever decide to go back in Can Pastilla, definitely not change hotel!! We really delighted hotel and strongly recommend it to any .....

booked allocation on arrival with low cost bed now where do we start.got there about 1 noon had to hang around for 2 hours as room was not ready.then when it was it was really small 3 beds one cot you could not move.had no fridge and was not told the air con worked if patio doors where closed tightly all baby food was going off due to how hot it was.went down for dinner at 7 ish were told to queue as there was a french party on they had to go first.thats when we realised in was french run a complete nightmare.they were really awfull .they told the kids they had to leave pool when they were enjoying day entertainment.(only french could join in).then for an all inclusive they ran out of beer and vodka.would never go to this hotel ever again.the food was ok but you were invisible if french were by you as they had everything first even when you were by the bar if one came along they were served first
