Me and my husband went for our honeymoon. we went all inclusive. i will list all good and bad points so u dont have to read much!
good points are:
right on the beach so great location
near airport so taxi cheap
lots of shops around
variety of food good
most staff friendly
quiet place

bad points are:
too quiet, im only 25 and was bored
only 1 english tv channel
al inclusive drinks are own spirts and lager, which werent yummy, so never drank
bedrooms sparse

so in all, nice to go if u just want to relax and be in a quiet, safe, good location
not good if youre young and want fun

big shout out to receptions tanya and barmaid vanessa! we loved them!
xxx
oo p.s swimming pool is tiny, 15 euro deposit for tv remote, no fridge in room, cant take all inclusive drinks out of bar or restaurant, so we spent loads on drinks for our room
expensive area, need at least 300 euros per person for 6 days

“We will never go back to this Hotel”

I am sorry that I have to say this but this is the worst hotel we ever stayed in our life's. We didn't want to show our kids how we feel as we didn't want anything to ruin their holidays, but when you have 9 year old coming to you and feeling the same way that's bad. If you like to eat uncooked fish and rabbit every night this is the place for you, nothing else on the menu it is very bad. If you speak German and if you are rude person then you can go there and join the club. I never complain about any hotel I stayed I have seen good and bad things but always OK overall, this time I had to do it as there was nothing good about this place. we were all inclusive but most of the time we had to eat out because of the food and we are not fussy eaters. We complain once and spoke with the manager he said that they mainly cook for Germans and they like this food, how can someone like the same thing every day, I don't thing that German kids love to eat uncooked fish and rabbit. I also seen German people complaining every day. Hotel is absolute joke I must say! also they mention they have a fitness center when I asked to go and use it they start saying that I should relax and that I am on holidays but I did insist to use it, so they told me its broken, very funny people. you work hard the whole year and you spend two weeks in here it’s terrible.

“would not go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

The location 100% bedroom was quite small not much hanging space, didnt take my husband and i long to make friends a good mix of people we were A. I. Q well so we thought! the first two days i had the spanish drink of Sangria at the pool bar overlooking the sea. Then told by him he had been told off as it is not A.I.Q. so i asked for a glass of spanish wine again told that its not A.I.Q.
we asked to talk to the manager in a quite spot on the sofas he was not helpfull at all, saying most people drink beer!! the last few days of our holiday large groups of 20 year olds came i do not have a problem with there age! the binge drinking set in and by 5 in the morning nead i say more,on the last day we knew we had to vacate our room by mid day but we didnt know that all our A.I.Q stop, no food our warter we had payed for this as we didnt leave till late that day, we payed a extra 40 euros to keep the room and have dinner with drinks, its a sham bad managment and not a good place to stay!! we will visit the area again but will not be staying there.

Just returned from a very bad week in this supposedly ai hotel the food on offer is very basic and reptitive rabbit ,veal fish and on an odd occasion chicken, desert jelly icecream cake and some tasteless blamange,The pool area is small (oversized bath),with no sun loungers,Bar service is poor no cocktails wine or sangria, local mahou beer and cheap vodka is all we could get. Absolutely no intertainment program day or nigth. On positive side hotel is clean, towels changed every day and rigth on beach, would go back to area but not this hotel

“a mostly good experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2009

My wife and myself stayed at the hotel for 10 days 5th to 15th September 2009

I would firstly like to confirm some times

The door to the outdoor swimming pool complex opened at 8.30 sharp each morning

The music and entertainment stopped at 11.30 sharp each evening

At 1030 am a member of staff walked round the pool area with a laundry basket to collect any towels on unoccupied beds

The hotel is barely four stars but is quite comfortable all the staff were most helpful and friendly

The daytime entertainment is a bit naff but there is no compulsion to participate and is not intrusive - each day about trhe same 20 to 30 people took part - thompson gold hotels are well known for their daytime and evening activities so surely anyone wanting a quiet hotel should go elsewhere

The evening entertainment was very good and as stated above ALWAYS finished at 1130 pm - one night they actually cut an act short so as to not overrun the 1130 pm limit -
Frogwell Flax and Arnold Gutbucket were outstandingly funny acts

We also visited the 'Come fly with me' show at a local Casino - this was excellent - money well spent

The location of the hotel is fine as far as being on the beach but not too many shops and nowhere to walk at night was a slight inconvenience - again if you want a more lively better located hotal go to somewhere else

Thr food was adequate with reasonable choices, yes there was jelly and icecream daily but also lots of other sweets including bread abd butter pudding, trifle etc

The trips organised by thompson reps were very good but I feel a little more advice should be given, for example the Caves of Drach whilst being mort interesting had many steps to climb and long distances to walk - one or two people really struggled

The hotel also runs trips independent of thompsons - we went on one to Palma - we were the only English on board but the courier looked after us very well - the trip was billed as a half day but we did not get back to the hotel until after 3 pm - certainly got our moneysworth

To sum up a decent hotel which probably should be three stars with extremely helpful, pleasant and friendly staff, adequate food and lots of entertainment day and night

I must agree that people putting towels in a row at 7.45 am by the door to the swimming pool complex when the doors did not open until 8.30 am (the row of towels being the order in which they expect to be admitted to the area) is rather stupid - at any time during the day there are adequate beds mattresses, tables and umbrellas - like most people I found this more amusing than upsetting (I actually took a photograph of this 'queue' of towels at 7.50 - there were then 7 towels in the queue)
- who says the Germans nick all the beds ??
