Me and my boyfriend stayed at Isla del sol last summer and we loved it. The hotel was nicely located and near to both beach and the local busstation. Unfortunately this year we were'nt as satisfied as last year. The hotel is described as a very quite hotel with nice staff and pleasent rooms. The hotel is nice and the rooms are decent, but the staff is horrible. We had a family next to us with a young boy screaming all the time, and its nothing wrong with that cos you cant expext a small child to be quiet all the time but when you also got a huge bunch of people partying all night and every night in the other room next to you its too much. We asked the staff to please tell them to keep quite so late at night and the staff didnt care really. It all ended with the staff screaming at us and laughing at us as soon as we asked them for help. Our last week was spoiled and ruined because of these people who dont have any clue what service stands for. i dont expect them to move mountains but i do expect them to behave professionell and listen to all guests. I dont pay people to tell me of or laugh at me or my boyfriend, so we booked another hotel and said forever goodbye to isla del sol.

Lovely hotel, well worth the price we payed (which was low since it was at the start of the season) Mostly Swedes at the hotel, but mostly Germans in the area.

Fresh and clean rooms. Maybe a bit hard beds and the refrigerator sounded a bit. No rooms on the ground floor.

Very nice staff, some of them did not speak so good English, but they did their best to help us anyway. The reception was open around the clock which makes it possible to arrive at any time as well as staying out late at night.

We had to check out at 12.00 and there is a room to store your bags until you leave.

Good but not heated pool. The chairs around the pool was never crowded during our stay. Small restaurant/bar at the hotel, nothing exciting at all, but still good for lazy days around the pool.

About two minutes by foot to the closest beach and all restaurants. Less then one minute to the closest bus stop in both directions. The buses in to Palma takes about 30 minutes and goes every 10 minutes until 1 at night. The bus to the airport is number 21 and takes about 15 minutes, though it does not go as often. Taxi from the airport to the costs about 20 Euro.

Our holiday did not get off to a great start, when we got to the Isla Del Sol our booking had been cancelled by Hotel Beds as our tour company Xcapewithus had gone bankcrupt and noboby had thought to tell us, so we had to pay for our holiday all over again. Pepe and Maria in reception could not have been more sorry or helpful, then our debit card wouldn't work in the machine, by this time I was really upset and in tears so Pepe made me tea and a beer for the old man on the house. We gave Pepe £150 Euros that we had in cash and they agreed to wait for the rest until we could get some more money from the bank, then we went up to the studio, they gave us a safe key for nothing and then we unpacked and settled in our nice clean studio, sat on the balcony overlooking the pool, the studios were lovely, nice and clean and the staff were fabulous quite close to everything and a nice little stroll down to Cala Estancia beach our favourite place smaller than the main beach in Can Pastilla but calm shallow water. By the way our debit card worked at the bank the next day and we paid Pepe the rest, bit of a tight budget but we managed, would I reccommend these apartments to anybody a great big YES but leave us a room for next year. WE'LL BE BACK
