We independently booked this hotel after reading the reviews.
It was easy to find from the airport catching a 21 bus that stops 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
We had booked 4 rooms for 9 people but when we arrived only 2 were ready.
The hotel was clean, in an ecellent localtion and quiet.
Mostly French and Spanish guests and the only downside of this was there staff didn't speak very good english.

The food was not usually very warm and there wasn't much of a choice.
Every night there was chicken, pork, fish , mashed potato, chips, salad and vegetables but we always managed to eat something.
However the staff very abrupt and few and far between.
They constantly ran out of food an hour or so before the end of service and then produced food that hadn't previously been served that evening and taht was only when guests were complaining.
One night all that was left were rolls, cheese, chips and hard pears.
This was when we went to dinner at 8.30pm and they should have still been sering until 9.30pm.
Most sittings we had to set the tables ourselves but everything was to hand in big sideboards.
There was only one toast machine each morning and the hot drink were anything but.

We still enjoyed the holiday and would recommend it but perhaps always go to the restuarant when it first opens.

This hotel is in a great location for a beach holiday. Rooms are a good size and kept very clean. I had a room with a great view to the pool and the sea. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The biggest downfall was the food. Having read previous reviews, and being a good eater, I felt I would have no problem with the food, but I was definitely wrong on that score. There were days when it was impossible to find something to eat. Most food was either drowning in water or oil, so completely tasteless. It's hard to imagine that breakfast can be bad, but the bread rolls, which I always enjoy on holiday, were hard every day. Definitely the place to stay room only.

Hotel D'or Alexandra C'an Pastilla

I found the hotel to be satisfactory in all respects, staff are friendly, food is adequate, location is excellent for beach. The hotel has no outstanding plus or minus points and is a safe choice with no surprises anywhere. Pluses include a sort of astroturf around edge of pool which reduces the chance of slipping and limits the amount of water spread onto lounging area, also equipment to enable handicapped people to access the pool. If you are 6 foot plus the height of the shower-head in the bath enables you to stand up straight in the shower instead of crouching, which makes a pleasant change.

The hotel is 5 mins from airport, 2 euros fixed fare per person for any length of journey (Oct11) on bus 21 which will have destination Arenal on the front, (runs every 30 mins on the hour and half hour). 3rd stop Hotel Linda - walk from bus-stop back the way the bus came (keeping Hotel Linda on right) a 5 min walk and turn 2nd left by Hasso rent-a-car down Carrer dels Pins/Calle Pins. There is a sign in the bus which changes after each stop. Press button for bus to stop at next one.
This bus starts from the Airport and NOT Palma and does not get overcrowded.
On return, retrace steps back up Carrer dels Pins/Calle Pins to main road, nearest bus stop is on the left across road, bus around 10 to and 20 past, first stop is departures at airport.

If you come out of the arrivals hall through gate B and walk straight ahead, on or beside the travelators, in direction of multi-storey car park, the bus stop is to the right of the next zebra crossing.
An electronic indicator in the bus stop will tell you the number of the bus and waiting time for the next one. This is also the bus stop for Palma city centre.
The price is 2 Euros fixed fare per person for any length of journey (Oct11) on bus 21 which runs every 30 mins and will have destination Arenal signed.

On return to airport, bus stops at departures, bag drop and check-ins are on ground floor, go up escalator to first floor and entrance to security checks are on far right. Through this are areas A,B,C,D and information screens will give gate number 50 minutes before departure.

Don't book here as we were booked out to a very poor hotel not far away. No compensation either!
