Just back from Majorca (12th - 19th Oct 2011 ) Our week at at this hotel was just great. The hotel is a two minute walk from the beach and restaurants. Our room was a little small but we were only in it to sleep and shower ! Our room was cleaned every day and the hotel was very clean generally. The staff were very helpful and polite. The food predominantley German but plenty of it. Pool and pool area kept very clean. Enjoyed the two nights of free entertainment.
We had an fantastic time in an excellant 3 star hotel. Very happy to recommend this hotel and staff.

“Nice Hotel apart from it being very noisy if you have a street room!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We have just come back from a week in the Apolo and overall it was good - we unfortunately had a 1st floor room over the reception area so at night and in the early morning it was very noisy from bin collections to just inconsiderate people!! The food in the Apolo was fine always something different every morning and evening. The waiting staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you. Rooms are cleaned everyday with clean towels. There is one thing to be aware of in this hotel the dining area is downstairs with no lift so if you have restricted mobility this is not the hotel for you also there is no ramp into the hotel either - this is the only negative comment we can make because our overall stay was excellent and we would definately stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Don't book a street room!!

“Excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

We spent three nights as this hotel and it did exactly as it said. It was clean, the staff were helpful, the rooms were nice enough and comfortable enough and the pool was excellent and quiet. It was literally two minutes walk to an excellent beach with another further on. They hired bikes and there was a bike trail that went all the way to the centre of Plama.

For cost and location, it was excellent value. The breakfast was very continental so dont expect english sausages and bacon, but what was available was really good.

The lifts are very small, but perfectly adequate and the bar had good service and the prices were excellent.

Overall a nice little hotel if you just want to chill out during the day and then eat out in the evening.

“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

We stayed at this hotel 1 week (25-31 August 2011). The room was OK (not very clean), but the bathroom was very uncomfortable. To get to the WC we had to go in the shower cabin, then close the door and then reach the WC. The TV didn’t work but for us that was not a problem. They didn’t have a hairdryer in the room, they had 1 for the entire hotel, but it was always booked. The food they offered was good but always the same, at breakfast: cheese, eggs, ham, salami, yogurt, pastries, juice, coffee etc and at dinner: some local food (paella), fish, fries, meat, fruits, cakes and a very good ice-cream (the drinks are not included). The hotel is close to a small beach and also to a larger beach. You have there all kind of shops, but the products are almost the same everywhere. The area is quiet, it’s true that you hear every 2-5 minutes a plain (because the airport is close) but you get used to it. German people are everywhere, that’s why everybody speaks better German than English. If you want to relax this hotel is good, if you want to party it’s better to choose a hotel in S’Arenal. There is a small tourist train (4Euro) that you can take to visit the area (go and return with the same ticket). And the bus 15 to visit Palma.

“A nice hotel with nice atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2011

I travelled with all my family and my baby. Very first night we arrived we got a warm welcome from Cristobal and Heiko, they treated us as we were frequent guests to the hotel.
Location is perfect to the beach and shops, 1 bus stop from the airport. There is a pharmacy just around a corner, which operates 365 days in year from 9 am till 21pm. The very first day we could not sleep as the frequency of planes was every 3 minutes and the noise was unberable. other days it was ok, we got used and they did not fly over the night, so we could survive it. At night but you could hear the noise from corridors, which I guess is a bit in every hotel.
Room 303 - triple room, large bathroom, 2 balconies, but orientated to the street and u can hear noise from other hotels bar.
Room 308, 314- nice view but a bit tight when you have extrabed, small bathroom
Hotel was very clean, rooms, dining room, public areas, swimming pool, toilets were cleaning daily. Matrasses were perfect!!! Aircondition in each room, automatically was turning off when opening a window. TV had only one chanel and we had to buy the remote control, but other rooms could switch the V manually. Fridge can be bought for 8 EUR per day.
Food was ok for the money paid, breakfast had a good selection, however the taste of food is a bit different than what we are used to normally. Perfect selection of sweet pastries.
Dinner was all right too, however soups very salty, main dishes had no taste, but there was always choice what to eat.
Other amenities - swimming pool and it;s area very nice, also small pool for babies, billiard and football at the disposal, there was oldies disco one night, nice bar and a tasty sangria :-).
I would like to point out the hospitality and customer orientation of Cristobal, Heiko, Nuria, who were always ready to give you an information needed. The cleaning stuff was also very nice always with a smile.
I would recommend this hotel rather for young people, who search for nice hotel at lower price and do not care so much about the standard or noise from th airport. However I do not exclude to be back there in the future

Tips: bus stop is 300 meters from hotel, you can get to capital Palma in 15 mins for 1.20 eur with bus nr. 15 and to the airport for 2 eur with bus nr. 21. A sightseeing train stop is 300 meters from the hotel and for 4 eur it takes you along the beach to El Arenal ( it is whole day ticket). Palma Aquarium is like 15 minutes walking from the hotel.
Beach beds to b found for 4.90 per day, good selection of water sports.
