This was my second visit to the Samoa, I went the same half term last year with my two children, boy (11), girl (9). As I said in my previous review it does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a budget 3* Majorca all inclusive, what do people really expect?
The people that have slated this place have probably paid £1500 with Thomsons Holidays, I paid just over £800 all in, flights, transfers, hotel, everything, how can you possibly grumble at £800 for a week in the sun with all your food and drinks included?
The food is fine, all edible, mostly freshly cooked, always pasta, always fish, always fresh salad and fresh fruit and at least two or three main course options and, of course, chips! In the time I was there I saw people night after night eating a plate full of chips and ketchup, I even saw one boy, teenager-ish, who on at least two or three nights that I saw him just had a plate of sweetcorn, nothing else, just a dinner plate of sweetcorn. How can you give the reviews of people like this any credibility?
I went with my two kids, happily none of us are particularly fussy eaters, and every night we had a full, varied and nutritional meal. Pork chops, BBQ ribs, veal, rabbit, chicken, fish, how can you possibly pick fault?
The rooms are ok, not brilliant, but functional and clean, the beds are ok, bit hard but fine, again this is 3* Majorca and, apart from sleeping, we probably spent and hour each day in the room because we were on holiday and spent time round the pool or on the beach, like people do when they're on holiday, so let's have a bit of reality here.
I've now been twice and wouldn't have any qualms about booking again for next year if the opportunity arises, the hotel is basic but clean, functional and provides everything you could possibly want for a budget holiday, if you want 5* star luxury and a la carte food for next to nothing then this place is probably not for you, if you're sensible and expect to get what you pay for then you'll have a great time, as we have done twice.
