Arrived at 11am and was greeted by a brilliant english receptionist. Adminstration sorted quickly then off to our room, no bell porter but this is a minor nigle. We booked a supierior room (for 3) and i must say for the rooms i have stayed in and i have traveled a lot this was most acceptable. Air con avaliable all day, fridge and a good shower. basic cooking facilities but we were not planning to eat in anyway as we were half board. Now on the subject of that, half board was nice (i mostly stay all inclusive) not much choice but what was avaliable was good, only downside you need to pay for water at diner which was €2.30 a bottle, again a minor niggle. Another thing with the half board is the restraurant is down a very steep hill at the side of the complex, aagain not a problem to me. Now the pools, both were great but the seperate spa pool (€5 for a week and a fresh towel every day if you wish) was great, no under 18's so at the time of travel we almost had the place to ourseleves, and you have some lovely 6ft foot 4 poster beds there as well. The location was good as well, about a 10 min walk into Cala Ferrera town where there is a good selection of bars and places to eat but might i suggest a trip to the Carabell bar, good kareoke and drinks are buy one get one free till midnight! The main town of Cala D'or is a 15 min walk or a €5 cab ride away where you will find an abundance or eating / drinking places. I would like to suggest the mexico steak house (opposite the upstairs at mallorca bar) where you get the biggest steaks you have ever seen, and not to mention their mixed grill for €17, death by meat you would not belive how much you got!!
All in all a good time.
Please be aware if you fly Ryanair they are very to the letter on thier baggage, dont go over 15kg or you will be charged £20 per kilo, we saw many people stressing and taking stuff out of thier cases at the bag drop.
