I have just returned from Es Ravelle D'Or 17-24th Sept
Good:
I was given an apartment in block 4 so very quiet-if you have families you should ask for this block.Or if you like more privacy,there were only two rooms on my floor so very quiet!
We had an extra large balcony,larger than most which was nice!
Good Location to walk everywhere! Although we didnt eat directly near the hotel as found most of the food quite poor in Cala D'or,nicer if you walk further to the marina and not much difference in price!Plus it has a lovely holiday feel there!
There doesnt seem to be many places with cheesey nightly entertainment so es revelle is perfect if u like that!I enjoyed Robbie Williams!I walked past while 'Lady Gogo' was on and was very thankful to be in block 4 as she was woeful!
Car hire beside the apartments and parking which is good and i highly recommend exploring the island!
The Staff were all nice in the hotel! I did not feel the tropical garden staff were as friendly unless u ate and drank there every night as regulars!We felt a cool feeling the 1 night we stayed for the show!they are a seperate company though.
Bad:
Airconditioning worked for our 1st two days and then no more,conveniently after our apartment was cleaned.In the height of summer i imagine this unbearable.
Our towels were changed twice in a week and rubbish emptied with a trail down the stairs after our room was serviced.Overall though basic and borderline clean enough!
The bathroom is nice and clean however our shower leaked but this was only minor.
Summary:
If you have booked dont have any concerns,use as a great base!If youve paid a lot of money you may be disapointed!
Overall cheap and cheerful and great location!I may not return myself but would not discourage others as does what it says on the tin and will not distrupt your holiday!
ALso...quick tip...the closest beach is cala gran,i found this a bit overcrowed,cala dor beach another 5 min walk is lovely and quiet and very nice!

Arrived 17th sept for a week. Rooms are very basic. The couch transforms (Luckily not like the film) into your bed. On the plus side hotel is slap bang in the middle of it.Restaurants,bars etc.The in-house singer at the Hollywood bar thinks shes great. Sadly she wouldnt make it to Boot Camp on the x-factor. A lot of holiday makers complained about the noise so you may need ear plugs. All in all not to bad for a cheeky week away.!!!!

These apartments and studios are quite basic but if you want basic accommodation with loads of entertainment then this is the place for you. Expect a lot of noise up to midnight but it's so easy to enjoy the acts from the comfort of your balcony that you can't help but get swept up in it all. I think the apartments were described as having everything you need for a self-catering holiday. However, nowadays I would expect a kettle, toaster and even microwave to be included without having to hire them from reception when you get there. The toaster, kettle and microwave were 12 euro extra each for a week and if you want to use the TV then you have to pay 2 euro per day - this adds an extra 100 euro to your bill if you hire them for a two week holiday. So long as you understand what you're getting and like entertainment and can put up with a bit of noise up to midnight, then you could have a good time here. Cala D'Or is a great place with loads of restaurants and several small coves within walking distance to explore.

we had a great holiday at the Es Ravells, the staff were fantastic and our Apartment was spotless with a first class view of the entertainment off the Balcony, in fact I cannot find anything to complain about and we will definately be going back again next year. S, Hunt
