We stay at Ferrera Park every year for two weeks and its a fantastic base for a great holiday. I have found over the years that too many people walk to the end of the strip in Cala Ferrera and dont venture into Cala d'or itself. Cala Ferrera itself has a great bar called Carabel the barman Phellipe is a legend(please see you tube). Really friendly and very very funny. El Patio is a good place to eat in Cala Ferrera but I would recomend venturing into Cala D'or and Cala Egos for resturants. Would also recomend the local Tapas bars and many of the resturants in the marina Cala d'or. We always go for the last week in august and the first week in September and its always great weather and about the right amount of people there. As for Ferrera Park we stay in an appartment right by the small pool and litterally a stones throw from the sea. All the shops are within walking distance and its very quiet and relaxing. If you do go to Cala Ferrera remember to take a map of the area and dont make the mistake so many holiday makers make. And just think ther is one strip of bars and resturants. There isn't you just have to walk about a mile and a half from the appartments and you will discover Cala d'dor or there is a taxi rank at the top of the road. The taxi drivers are very prompt and dont charge a great deal to take you to Cala D'or or Cala Egos. Great place if you are prepared to discover it.
