“Excellent clean apartment with views to die for!!!!!”

We recently spent 1 week at this complex. We have three kids 5, 7 and 10. We nooked direct on a holiday site so were a bit apprehensive as this was the first time of doing it. How ever we were pleaseantly surprised by a lovely apartment with outstanding views over the pool and out to sea. This is a frontline complex and its fantastic. All pools are very clean as is the restaurant. It also offers all inclusive at very very cheap rates.
All in all a great holiday.

“Loud place with a veteran apartments!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2010

First of all, I would never recommend this hotel to a family with young children. It is very loud place, with a randy French tourist all over. You can't even read the signs around, neither menus, because they are in French as is apx. half of the stuff. I do speak Spanish and English, but it was for nothing here.
Second thing was, that this is not a 3star+, not even in anyones dreams. We coudn't unpack our clothes, because the wardrobes stunk so much, we coudn't put anything inside. It stayed as it was build, and my estimation is 25 years.
We've requested a ground floor, because we were 2 women, 3 kids, 2 strollers and lot of baggage, but as you guess, we got 1st floor, 20 steps 1m wide. Mission impossible!
But unfortunately, we've had no choice but made it.
Please also mind, that the hotels states, that it is air conditioned, and yes it is, but only the front desk and the restaurant. There is no single room with the A/C!!!
And like a cherry on the cake was the "all inclusive". We lived apx. 300m and across the road from the bar and the restaurant. And since you can't put any drinks in the bottle, we practically dind't have the opportunity to use the service during the day or evening. We've had the meals, but we had to buy the water and the drinks in the town, since we couldn't leave our children alone.
Last thing is the beach. It is apx. 10min walking dist. from the hotel, it is apx. 50m wide and instead of send you can find a lot of cigarette butts, plastic bags and nasty and a slack water.
I have just experienced the worst vacation in my life! God protect those, who doesn't use Tripadvisor and shame on me, that I din't listen!!!!

“Caters for the French tourist.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

Booked apartment via holiday lettings.co.uk.Apartment tired as was the complex- needs a good lick of paint. Tried a days all inclusive for 13 euros per adult- but not a patch on a four star all inclusive- cheap local wine, repetative menu, not a meal more like a snack bar.Apartment had fabulous pool and direct sea views. However,,constant loud activities for the all inclusive French tourists. Gym a joke.
Car a distinct advantage to escape to the beautiful coves in surrounding area.
Try Cala Mondrago for a great day trip.

“great family comlex”

My family stayed here for the first two weeks in August and were very impressed with the facilities. We have two young children ages 3 and 7 and they had a ball. The apartment itself we booked directly with the owner on ownersdirect.co.uk and found it to be very clean , well furnished and well equiped.
The complex itself has four pools, kiddies club, playground, tennis court, crazy golf and all other outher activities to keep the kids occupied and is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre.
The staff at the complex all spkoe english and were very friendly. There are more french/dutch people here than english but we still found enough english people to mix with without it being too much like home.
Had a great time overall and heading out there (hopefully) next year.

  • Liked — the apartment wiht the views
  • Disliked — not enough english

“Find Somewhere else!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2006

Well... what a place ! Not!
First impression of the apartments was not good. On Entering the apartment it was clear within 10 minutes that there was no chest of drawers available for use. A "bureau" existed ( see photo ) of which all the drawers were locked - the writing desk of this bureau became
our underwear drawer! There were NO instructions on how to use the Gas hob - a Gas bottle was later found hidden in a cupboard behind a load of junk. Light bulbs were either missing or not working - this led to our first day spending an hour & more with the hotel "electrician" ( ! ) replacing an entire light fitting. After doing this he replaced a Halogen Bulb in the Kitchenette area - which after 5 mins of being powered EXPLODED! ( see photos ) this was quite some bang too with shards of glass everywhere and narrowly missing my partners face who was cooking at the time.

On the first day there was no kettle either, this was then provided - lucky i checked it too cos the lead was damaged and burnt such that the blue Neutral wire was bare and visible about half way down the cable length. Eventually we were given a new kettle. ps. use Mineral water for everything here - Not sure what the rest of Mallorca is like but the water was literally disgusting here. Even in the shower you can smell the ( guessing ) Fluoride. The bed was ok, but the bedding was terrible - a Bolster fitted with Two pillowcases instead a a proper cover. I also guess they don't sell big sheets in Mallorca as our bed had two singles laid sideways to cover the mattress - inevitably ending up tangled round your legs each night.

As for Air Conditioning - with temp in the 30's during the day our room was fitted not with Air Con...but, yes you guessed it a DeLonghi HEATER!!
( next to "bureau" in photo's ) The room temperatures at night were therefore unacceptable, god knows who would want the heater on?

This hotel is also FULL of Germans, even the Children's entertainment is in German, ALL the books and guides provided in the room were German and , yes, they really do "reserve" the deck chairs by the pools EVERY morning. ( This ought to be banned in every hotel ) We actually had to throw all the ( useless ) german books into the wardrobe to use the bookshelf as clothing racks!

Don't let any of this put you off Mallorca, which is great with plenty of diverse things to do, from the Palma-Soller 1920's train/tram, Beaches inc Nudist friendly at Es Trenc, Caves, good restaurants, Quaint towns like Arta and beautiful little Ports. My advice would be to stay away from these apartments. If i could re-book now knowing what Roc Las Rocas was like I would aim to stay in the area of Colonia Saint Jordi or the like next time - which is also a little closer to Palma and has beaches right on the doorstep.
