It can be confusing when booking the Cala Esmeralda as there are several properties owned by the same group. We satyed in the Cala Esmerelda Hotel and we had a great holiday. We stayed for ten nights half board. There was a good choice of food, the hotel and room were clean and from our balcony we could see the sea, which was a bonus. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a small beach opposite the hotel, but if you prefered there was a larger beach about ten minutes walk away. There are shops, bars and resturents a short walk away. We hope to find a hotel as good as this one next year.

Just returned from Cala Esmaralda what a beautiful place, Hotel was spotless we have never been in such a clean Hotel and we have been in a lot of five star ones.
Nothing is too much for them every one smiles at you and speaks to you from the Manager to the cleaners, the food is fresh and varied the salad bar always fresh and things replaced as soon as they were empty.
The room was perfect we had a sea view to the fantastic bay. The shops are a nice stoll away
and plenty of bars in the evening or places to eat if you want a meal,
Just hope people find the same next year after this review, as theHotel closes for the winter.

We had a fantastic holiday & stayed in the hotel (half board) for one week.
The hotel is set in a lovely location, the food was delicious with a huge variety of choices both for breakfast and evening meal. The staff were helpful, friendly and keen to solve any concerns we had. The rooms were lovely, spacious and cleaned daily, and although we didn't have a room with a much sought-after sea view we had a brilliant holiday and would love to return sometime soon!

Before I begin my review I should just say that the Tripadvisor picture is not the Cala Esmeralda hotel. I suspect its one of the simarlarly named sister hotels very close by - all owned by the same group. I suspect some of the reviewers on here may also have confused the hotels / apartments etc - very easily done.

We stayed at the Cala Esmeralda for one week 25th Sept to 2nd October, and loved every minute of it. Its biggest selling point being its perfect location overlooking the bay with the lovely cooling sea breezes. We had a sea view room which was well worth the extra cost. (If you're an early riser you will see some stunning sunrises).

We stayed on a half board basis but also had lunch most days in the beautiful terrace overlooking the bay. (Delicious and very reasonably priced).

Our room was spotlessly clean and although not large, there was plenty of storage space. The only slight niggle was the hardness of the bed, but it didn't stop me getting a good night's sleep. (I've stayed in hotels with much harder, less comfortable beds in the past).

All the staff were extremely courteous, friendly and attentive.

The buffet food was delicious and because the restaurant was quite busy the food turnaround was fast leaving nothing to go yucky under the hot lights. The dress code in the evening was quite informal. Personally, I like to glam up, fortunately others did too, so I didn't feel out of place with others in the restaurant opting for a more casual style. Gala night affords the opportunity to go uber glam.

The evening entertainment was a bit patchy and sometimes non-existant, although one evening there was a duo (called Sunset I think) with an incredibly talented singer.

This is a hotel we'll definitely be returning to some day.
