I first stayed at these appartments in May 2009 with my wife, daughters and grandaughter. we decided then that we intended to return. In august 2011 we stayed again for ten nights. This place is absolutly amazing. It is not too big so there is a comfortable feel about it and the staff are great. It feels more like a private resort than a Butlins type place.Although it is self catering there is a small restraunt that serves very good food.It is not too expensive at all and they are good sized portions.Ice creams are a little expensive but then again they are the same in cala dor itself. The appartments were very clean and well presented. If you enjoy being outdoors in the evening thel Cala dor is the place to be.Tropical gardens has a swimming pool, bar, childrens nightly disco, entertainment and some good family entertainment. They serve decent food and drink and it is served by waiters. All this and the only thing you pay for is what you eat and drink.Edan paradise has some decent acts on in the evening and if you feel like it you can have a go yourself.Super tramps bar and restraunt is very good and reasonably priced.Beware of some of the places in the town centre in the eating quarter. They can be very expensive. Also beware of promotional offers from some of the cocktail bars, buy one get one free. Two of us got stung with a 38 euro bill for a b.o.g.o.f cocktail. However Cala Dor is a lovely place and Cala Dor Playa appartments are well worth every penny. We booked again within 24 hours of getting home and cannot wait to get back. There are several small coves with sandy beaches. If you have problems walking then Cala dor may not suit you as it is spread out and hilly. There is a Marina but this is some distance from Cala dor itself .There is a road train service that travels around cala dor and upto the Marina areaFor any one who has a family with young children Cala dor Playa appartments are well worth a visit. We will certainly begoing back.
